No, they are not...
How it works...? If you mean lubrication, oil(spill) reaches the 308-bearing passed its shield, and then drains back into the case through the small return port, down at the 7-o'clock position.

Well, actually TTCo. does pretty good I must say... Let him show you pictures of all that he has moved for me lately!;-)
But yes Ron, the GA-Rally has always been a great opportunity -for me and most of us I think- to find MV-parts bargains of all sorts. As well as all kind of trades... for...

Hey Robo, yes that's the way: that's what I do every year, around this time... and it usually works out fairly well, somehow... ;-)
You have been on here long enough. Now it's time to put some faces to names!

It's the same part for the 6.5L HMMWV engines, too.
Yes, a 6.2L-damper would work with the timing set you got. If you don't have a new damper already it might be time to replace it anyway, due to age?
The exact length of the 6.5 sprocket pictured is 39.5mm. You may want to compare with what...
No separate spacer there. The 6.5L timing sprocket is a one-piece part (pics below) and its hub is longer than the 6.2L counterpart.
Correct. The 6.5L damper is shorter to compensate for the longer sprocket.

It's really easy: a typical 16.00R20 tire has an overall section width of 17.0" (+/-.1"). So if you center those 17 inches over the rim you will find 6.0", measured from the WMS to the outer tire sidewall, and 11.0", to the inner sidewall.
78" - (2x6") = 66" (which is more or less what you had...
Hey, you are actually next door...!:-)
To Outlier: Welcome from Montevideo/Uruguay - which is not too far either. Really most of the time the only distance between us all is about two feet away... from the screen!;-)
You came to the right place!

Works fine for me...!
Agree with that. Even a small, slow leak can be detected by using detergent solution and a brush or sponge to create foam and covering all suspicious areas.
It just takes a lot of patience sometimes. Also, manipulating these heavyweights isn't something for everyone to...
OK, that would make a 10-leaf/ 3-3/4"-stack, then.
On the other hand we have the "standard" 12-leaf/ 4-3/8"-packs, which leaves .365" for each leaf... which still leaves me wondering... about the when and why, two different versions?

No, don't discard them...!
This "retainer" (=cup) only holds the dust boot in place. Even with the boot still intact it can easily be pried out of the bore, with no damage or distortion- and thus, can be re-used.
Say so if you need more than the pics below; or if you want dimensions...
Yes, please, measure the total stack height and/or leaf-thickness. And also, what model and year of manufacture was that "donor"-truck...?
This has been a mystery... for too long!:-?
