Re - reading this thread, I will point out that apart from the 530C our goat IS the fastest vehicle in our collection.
No air leaks, GOOD supercharger and settings. ALL new filters, (air and fuel).
Those units seem so trusty and reliable in the prevailing conditions,. I have had an Onan 6,5 for some 12 years, and have only had to thankfully put 7 hours on it.

On a diesel engine the cause of white smoke can indicate incorrect timing. And the most common cause in addition is water leaking past the head gasket, or (hopefully not) a crack in the engine block.

Welcome to the site and hobby. The white scout cars are really nice truck to own, And have that great running and pulling side valve six. Better than the overhead valve types in my experience. And maintenance is quite straight forward too.
