And that warning comes before the water level rises to a point it stops or impinges on fuel flow. So do heed it.

Need help with troubleshooting bad engine vibration or miss!

I'd still check the piston, if OK, the valves. If OK put some new push rods in..Who knows? My curiosity would be really kicking in though....Win or loose. (The expense!)

anybody have sprag transfer case engage on highway?

Sympathies..I am just starting to have these symptoms now on my 5 ton. Sometimes skidding and banging in reverse, or actually winding up before I sense the problem and drive forward to take off the strain. To avoid this happening at (any!) speed I have a transfer case, and a gearbox waiting to...

I like the way you diagnosed the problem and hauled off road before more damage ensued. Merritt points.

    delivered the hispano

Today we delivered the Hisparno. Belonged to a member of our group, I went to a newly formed (forming) military collectors museum about 20 miles from our location. The guy constructing it plans to have military theme weekends and has invited us to attend. Should be good for a weekends chill...

    Airhorn problem.

I'd say your correct. There isn't enough 'pull' on the solenoid to open against air pressure by the sounds of it. (scus'e the pun). I did see that happen once when someone wired in 24v. air horns and connected them across the first battery for 12 volts.

    M45 530 C in action

Yep, mine has the water and foam tanks, And the pure joy and satisfaction of seeing the truck run, pump, pump and run, no words for that, (for me) You ask is it a water cannon? surely you observed that in the first set of videos? Not a "cannon" however, it is a Monitor, And can discharge up to...

Manually shifting M1087 transmision while driving

Just a thought, Even 1950s cars (and now others) Had (have) a governor that won't allow shifts before governor pressure is correct. ( for the selected gear ratio)

    M45 530 C in action

Shame shame! Why is it that the rarest best looking and hard to find trucks get butchered. I will (probably) only ever part with mine to a genuine military vehicle collector/enthusiast, and or as well, a Fireman!. More pictures of our work Past and present, (preservation And presentation) For...
