The best solution is to replace that gauge (and the water temperature gauge) with capillory type devices. wysiwug! And actually both (all on every truck) are the alternative notification circuit type. All the time 'on' (then 'off') OR all the time 'off' then 'on'.
I use them all the time 'off'...
Hmm, well over here in blighty..all we need is..T Shirts..COOLERS!..the way things are going with global warming. Used to sledge in october..Sunbathing today!!.
Nice truck, nice pictures and video. You really don't need to 'light' a fire under it to keep warm! that heater unit you fitted should do the task just fine!

Well today I repaired the outrigger leg that 'flew off' when the lad pulled it out and very nearly squished himself! So I'm thinking that is not a very strong (nay sturdy up to military spec) component. So now I am very stringent as to how the crew prepare the legs for...

I also found a 24V back up alarm, but haven't decided to install it yet... I see the utility and safety value, but it removes all stealth capabilities fitted reverse warning buzzers on all my trucks, All fitted with a switch on the dash to operate. (should you ever need stealth(for some reason..)
After much pondering, I have acquired an overdrive for my WW11 ford jeep. Why?. It has a V8 Tank engine in it, (innitt!) and 700x16 tires, But the RPMs would be nice lower, and the cruise. It DOES have the extra power needed to pull the larger tires and overdrive, >sic< Will post up the project...
Interesting. Check the format (as) I post up jpeg 800x600 and they load good and quick, then when clicked on, on page post, they become full size. No problem. Also check the resolution you are viewing stuff in. "950000x 8565 mil" dpi! (pun) as on all these modern go faster pods cams and tablets...
