Without the bigger axles dont go bigger than 35. The 60 is a direct bolt in only changes will be the U-bolts and you will want new mounting hardware for the axles anyway. Make sure you get the top plates (plates that are on top of the springs) with the axle. Depending on the 14 bolt that you...
once you lower the back of the tranny, you can use 4 or 5 socket extensions with a swivel on the end to reach the top bolts. with enough extensions you can turn the ratchet all the way around.
i was able to get the parts to dallas but it looks like you already have it done. no problem. sorry for not getting back to you. i got tied up with work
I beleive the stock th400 4x4 is the short shaft, the long is on the two wheel drive where there is a slip yoke.
My advise would be to not buy the adapter and go ahead and get your 205/203 built with shifters you want to use and have it sitting there waiting on the axles. The 203 takes the place...
basicly they just have not been retested or had an engineer put the stamp on them on how they were recentered and that they still meet DOT specifications. In most cases the recentered rims are stronger than the origional.
It is a shame that wheel spacers are legal and properly welded and...
Have not gone down that road so I am not sure where to get them. I would start with google. I beleive you need 2 inch spacers. consider what tire presure you want to use also when choosing your HMMWV rims. I believe the 12 bolts are good to 50 PSI and the 24 bolts will go to 75 lbs. I do not...
Many have spacers here and for HMMWV rims, it is really the only way to keep them street legal. I do not like the spacers because I am building my truck for some pretty heavy off road and do not feel comfortable with them. I bought recentered hummer rims and plan to run them until I am told I...
Running the Rubicon is on the bucket list for me and this truck. I still have a lot to do to it before it will make the rubicon but it will be there one of these days.
I would also like to attend the king of the hammers (as a spectator) before the race get shut down, hope that does not happen...
Northern tool had a tranny jack for about $75. I saw this after I installed mine the hard way.
I installed mine with a regular floor jack and a lot of wood blocks. The torque convert goes on the tranny first so you do not have to worry about damaging the seal. The tranny has alignment pins so...
That plate is the rear support bracket from 'trail tech fab'. It came with the 205 when I bought it. There is another piece to that plate that you weld to it and them to a rear crossmember when you get it fitted to your application. The other piece has a rubber bushing in it for vibration and...
I finally received my Magnum box from ORD. It took a little longer than the 4 to 6 weeks they quoted when I ordered it. Hopefylly the 5 month wait will be worth it.
The Box is nice, very solid built and machine work looks clean. I have many other ORD parts on my truck and I have no complaints...
Cypress texas, you would not happen to be off of Huffmeister are you.
I grew up in cypress/Klein area and go there to see friends offten and I always pass a duece at an auto shop on huffmeister. just wondering if that was your shop.
If so next time by I would like to stop and check out your...
Let me know the parts you need on the front end, I still have the 1008 parts truck and everything but the grill and bumpers is still there.
I have the rear seats and third seat from the 87 burb I parted they are cloth, tan and free. need to get them out of the way.
A flat clear coat is new to me. I know some paints cant take clear but normally thats due to the additional magnification of sun and heat the high gloss clear creates on the paint under it, not sure about gillispe. I have forest green gillispie on my 1009. I would think it would be cheaper to...
any chance of tapping it one size larger? not sure how much metal you have to work with but you would probably have to drill the mounting holes out on the starter also.
