The best estimates I have found in the past is from looking up fuel consumption numbers from other Yanmar L70 powered commercial generators or the Yanmar L70 engine page.
I don't really feel that there is a right or wrong choice between the 3 KW MEP-016D and the 5KW MEP-002a for emergency home backup assuming typical 3-4 day annual run times, etc. There are just advantages and disadvantages each way, this is of course assuming that 3KW is enough for your vital...
Expect somewhere around .5 gph at 3KW load, it runs at 3600 rpms, so consumes about the same amount of fuel per hour (or maybe just a bit less) than a 5KW MEP-002a which runs at 1800. You can probably safely draw 3.5KW or so from the Yanmar L70 powered MEP-016D which will be engine limited, the...
The outlet end on mine had been replaced by a high quality "hospital grade" 20 amp 5-20 straight blade single receptacle. (you know the one where one socket is T shaped to accept either 15 or 20 amp plugs)
Mine came with one like this, I assume it is a general purpose extension cord to plug loads into. This would be the more appropriate method of connecting general loads as it would be protected by the main output breaker, unlike the glass fuse protected front output outlet.

There is an EUC item coming up for sale on GL that I am thinking about bidding on for the purpose of parting out. It has been a few years since my last EUC purchase, and I am wondering if the paperwork process is any different for items to be parted out? Or when filling out paperwork should I...
On the frequency meter, it seems to me the easy way would be to splice the input and output wires from the transducer together and then just move the wires from the old frequency gauge to the new one.

p.s. you probably also need to do something about shunting the original wires on the...
I have been following GL somewhat regularly (at least when I had money to think about spending) for the last 4 or 5 years, and I agree with Johnray13 about the random spurts, sometimes one or two will be listed, sometimes a handful, and occasionally a large batch of 30-50, even larger larger...
I suspect your ahead of the cold front that came through here yesterday, we have ice and snow on the ground for the second time within a week here in Louisiana, and temperatures have been below freezing for over 24 hours now.

p.s. the power was out at my elderly mother's all electric house...
Speaking of these filters on the fuel pump, who else has mix and match sizes for the bottom covers? I have to use 2 different size wrenches when checking these on my MEP-003a
Just don't feel alone in this, I have a MEP-003a that does much the same thing, replacing the injectors did help mine, but has not fully cured the problem.

3 phase is also MUCH easier starting than single phase when it comes to inrush, and while I am not going to say that a MEP-004a could not handle it, I will say that there are potential combination conditions here that would put things into the questionable realm. Particularly without having...
Starting sequence on the motors may factor in also, are they staggered, would multiple ones start at the same time, is there a lot of stopping and starting on any of them, etc.
Jim of course meant 7/16 x 20, I second the idea of pulling the injector for access to the prechamber end of the glow plug before considering pulling the head.

There is a lot of variation in the selling price on these units on GL, I tend to only track the selling prices of the smaller units up to the MEP-003a 10KW generators. There are some general rules of thumb, trailer mounted units and ones with ASK housing will tend to go for more than bare skid...
