To answer your question, yes its POSSIBLE but not probable. JATonka has been working on some, and I believe a couple others have discussed, but the cost is in the 1500+ area potentially. With the power steering on the 5 tons its really not as much of a drivability issue other than some...
Why all the commotion? The military drove these for DECADES with 15W40 and they lived and lived and lived. Allison recommends this as an acceptable fluid. Just use what it's supposed to have. It will work just fine.
The trucks are definately not weak. You read alot because like a Dr office, people don't generally go there unless something is wrong. When people are asking for help something is amiss. These trucks have survived everything that young GIs could throw at them and more. Are there parts that...
The block heater I had in my 923A0 worked perfectly ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Isr9dcywkwU ) The coolant circulates internally in the engine by thermosiphoning and the defroster was blowing warm air immediately. The oils is also warmed by the warm engine (you can feel it by just touching...

Well, now that I made it back from the Georgia rally and was re-energized to get to work, I got everything all buttoned up, and NOTHING.......In tank pump is not working. Making noise, but no action. Picked up a 24V pump from NAPA, I'll try it out tomorrow. Also appears I may have to drop and...
I would also like to thank MDMORGAN for allowing me so much copilot time in the trails. It was almost as much fun as driving one of my trucks. Great fun and great company!
All I can say is WOW! Everyone involved in keeping things on track were great. This was my first, and certainly not my last SSGR. The trail rides were fantastic, and even though I wasn't able to bring one of my trucks, there was always an empty seat that needed filling. Met a ton of great...
