These two links might help you a lot. Look in the Forum TM Forum.
The MEP-531A is a strange beast. Due to the location of the clear fuel line from the Fuel Bowl and the IP, often there is a bubble trapped, and bleeding at the Injector will not get it out. The CECOM solution was to use a wire tie, to pull the fuel line down a TAD, and the air bubble comes right...
I expect the frequency to go high when I have the frequency set for using R2 (which I should not be able to use). Based on what I seen on this generator before. I have to adjust the tuning for the frequency by using the set screw on the A5 when it switches.
What do you mean here? Why should you...
Thats a real possibility. The A5 works. It holds steady frequency. Just before things go south, I hear strange noises. Where are they coming from, and why are you moving the AM-VM switch all the time?
Something like this happened to us in the field one day. We were in the woods outside of K-Town, and had the CG, the Brigade Commander, Battalion Commander and a million strap hangers watching us take up position. Someone put the porta potty's on pallets and dropped them too close to the mess...
The L1, (IP fuel cut off solenoid) is very important. Do you have any idiot lights on the fault indicator? Because if you do, you have a safety circuit failure. Jumping the L1 could mean you destroy your engine. In any case, you jumping the L1 could also lead to destroying your engine when the...
Then I went back to the Army TM, and sure enough its there too, in the figure for the head. I would say, that if you try and use the part number 114350-11470, you will get the part you need. When typed into the browser, it comes up all over. And I think, after reading about 10 different places...
AH HA! Thats why I could not find it. The spacer and gasket are considered parts of the head, and not parts of the injector.
Strangely enough, the gasket has an NSN: 5330-01-326-8021. The spacer also, NSN: 5365-01-322-8692
The plot thickens.
I took an injector out today and there was no seal in it but the parts breakdown had two types listed. Parts 17 and 18 in the diagram
No, this is not a parts breakdown. The parts break down in toward the back of the TM.
This is the parts break down. And it shows no copper...
What is the machine you have? What gen set is it? The reason there are two seals listed is probably there are two different models, with two different injectors.
I killed your other thread you started about this problem. Forum rules, prohibit you from having more then one thread concerning the same problem. It also help you, so yo do NOT have to look at more then one thread for your help, and people helping you, do not have to look at more thread at...
