The 4.90 gears are a good choice for The a3 with auto and you can do 55 mph at 2400 rpm with standard size tires, you will go faster with the a3 tires.
How much better can they make the final ratio on the mt643?
My truck does 55 mph at 2400 rpm I would like to get a little more out of it without running on the governor at 2800 rpm
I think you are over thinking this if you are worring about a branch snagging the air drain. First off if it tugged the line you would not lose enough air to notice it and if it got stuck up there and kept the drain open then the buzzer would go off.
But there is a lot of stuff up there that...
We route the cables so they are not hanging down.
If you are woried about them catching on something you can attach the cable to the truct with a small zip tie that that if it snags something the zip tie will break and the cable will just hang free.
