JT, you want me to wait and we can convoy to Alaska together in 2012?
Wife and I did a 1000 mile round trip in the m109, towed a m146 to VA and came back empty. I drive mine anywhere, anytime. Ask Neil, I carry tons of parts and tools.
Yep, show up in May Gimp. Not sure whats for dinner yet Doc, me and Cabell haven't started planning THAT far out yet. :-D
I will have my ice maker there next year, $1 a bag. Probably bring the wife this time too, camp in the 109 and trail ride the 818 or a m35 w/w I'm looking at in the future...
Hello,
As far as I know, there are no direct replacement upgrades to the stock deuce dash lighting. If you search, there are some guys that put LEDs into each gauge. others have mounted license plate lights over the gauge cluster.
Look at what this fella did...
I would take that starter that you took out and get it checked, it could be something simple and then you would have a spare, or rebuild it and sell it, getting your money back for the used one you just put in.
All I know is every set of original wipers I've had on all my deuces, even with properly adjusted arms and brand new blades, I felt the wipers hardly worked at all. If I am driving and get into a moderate storm, I pull over, because I just can't see. I don't thing the arms put enough force on...
Not that the stock blades or arms are not availible, just that they SUCK. The problem you would have with just slapping any old arm on is the knurled knob that fits the shaft. If you could find some of those, then you could use almost any arm. the Napa kits came with those Knobs...
You would have to run the lines fairly close to the bottom of the tanks, and they could snag if you do any off roading. Or you could have one tank pump the fuel into the stock tank. Notice your gauge getting low, hit the switch, run a pump, then shut it off when the stock tank is full. Just...
My wife and I just did a whirl wind 1000 mile deuce trip in the m109 this past weekend to drop off a m146 trailer in VA. No problem. Slept in the back in a Walmart parking lot on the way home. I've put 8k on my truck in a year. I do lots of long distance trips. :-D
The engineer was probably...
Hey Kenny,
Can't get those wiper arms at NAPA anymore. Sucks too, I was driving in the rain last night and wanted to do this upgrade, found it, read the article, got excited. I just called my local guy for the parts. No longer carried... Figures...
Well, It isn't a 3/4 ton or bigger truck, I had to pull the drive shaft. And I take it all the way off and put it in the bed. I lost one once doing the bailing wire thing.
