I know getting off at Kenwood, but you have to get back on at 138. How else do you get over the hill? I am interested in learning, but I don't have an issue with the 15.
And the ethanol will most likely attack any rubber seal in the fuel system. Pumps can be expensive to repair and the replacement rubber parts are probably NOT rated for an ethanol based fuel, so the repaired pump will fail again.
Here are a few pics of what I have. I don't think the arms are are on the wrong side due to the mount holes for the can holders and the outline of the removed holder on the arm. I just can't seem to figure out which bracket goes where and that info still seems to be not for public release. I...
I'll go lookk through my back issues. The ring and legs are 1968 issue...mfg date on the data plates. They are sand colored with what looks like sg OD under the tan.
Well, I got her a ring!! I am using the M36 legs and brackets, these are the early cast brackets that clamp on the legs and an M49 ring. Got the legs up with no issues, but am having a time getting the ring to align with the arms. I have 4 different plates that attach to the arms. I looked all...
There is a little aluminum tag on the pump that gives everything needed to rebuild that or any other PT pump to the spec for your engine. OPCOM, they are blowing smoke.
Overhead settings...loose injector adjustment.
There is one oil passage in the 855 head...never seen a crack expand to let oil in then close up. Cavitation of the liner CAN put oil in the coolant but will 99% of the time put coolant in the oil first
Flush it, give it a good tank of fresh...
If the o/c leaks, the radiator will fill with the oil from the engine and push out the overvlow. If you have run the truck much since the last Dirtbag and haven't lost oil or pushed oil out the cap, i'd say no on the cooler. Drain the coolant and put a couple of cap fulls of liquid laundry soap...
I know that guy! That's Dave from Jans Towing here in Azusa. That is Azusa Canyon Rd. Jans goes up there all the time to recover the little rice burners that the drivers THINK they can drive!
Exactly! There are WAY too many things going on here for only a few people to keep tabs on. The ad deal is a fine line and can be interpreted differently by different people. I, for one, am not doing this to pizz people off or have a "power trip" , Just rying to keep this site a good place to...
I agree, the classifieds are a bit hard to get through if you have never been there. The notice at the top of the pages is clear. It takes reading EVERY post to see something that could be considered an ad. If the post doesn't come right out and say, I need this" or "I have this for sale", I...
Can't wait!!! Still got WAY too many things to do though. Don't think Jake is gonna make it this trip, he's going to Texas for a Skills USA competition. If he doesn't go I might just crash in the trailer. I might have a new AR by then!!
Could be a starter. Go directly to the starter and jump from the B+ to the pull in wire and see if it turns over. Just make sure the trans is in neutral.
You have all the stuff you need there. I don't remember if there was a smaller drive. Let me do some checking on Monday. The stealer didn't notice that the tach wasn't working after the repair? Nice.
It's in the TMs. Go to the "resources" link at the top of the page, click on "Technical Manuals" and down load them. It is in one of the -20's I think.
