Ethan, there's a place by me that has all sorts of aluminum rounds like that. If you like, I will stop by there and see if they have the 6061 stuff. Do you care if it's thicker than 3" ?
I forgot, they are on the web, here's a link,
http://www.ipstool.com/
Go to the "metals" tab, there is 6061...
Yes I did, thought I sent you a PM on that. Thanks! Alot of people ask where I got it...especially my neighbor...he's a La Habra, Ca. fireman! He collects that kind o stuff, Keeps wanting to trade me for different things...NAH!
The turbo pressure line leaks on my junk. It has metal ferruls that don't come off the pipe. Anyone know where I can get a NOS line?
If I were to do wheel seals, what size socket would I need for the bearing nuts??
RE: Pinzes
eminn57360, weren't you at Daves' annual "Pinz/Mogfest" in Arcadia a month or so ago? I took a pic of the sign on the back of your Pinz just like the one you posted! I had the ugly M35 parked across the street that caused the guy above the liquor store to yell at us.

Take the wire off of the coil on the fuel pump. Crank it 'till you have o/p...might take a couple of crank sessions, but it will eventually pick it up.
Kenny, not too much of a bummer 'bout your seals, sounds like it went fast and smooth. The Va. shootings are truly a tragedy. Don't the campuses that are that large have some sort of security service? If there was a person chaining the doors from the outside, there had to have been someone that...
There is a dye you can put in the fuel. Go get some and a black light, put the dye in the tank, run it a bit, then pull the FDC and look to see if it's glowing yellow on the oil side, if not, move to the next part. Diesel and bearings don't mix, it will ruin a set of bearings right now. Try not...
Wow Mike, I didn't think you had your truck THAT far apart! Sure hope you an find the cause for the blistering. What, a month or so 'till it's road ready? Got enough paint left to do the 105?
Will, pull the dash panel and see if the cable is going all the way into the head, maybe it's too short or broken. Also, look at the drive in the head to see if it's stripped.
