The trouble with just bending a regular neoprene hose is the radius of the curves are to tight and it will kink. Braided stainless steel hose can do the curves without kinking. However, with hose clamp nipples on each end AN fittings that work aren’t cheap.

Tire pressure will really affect the “lane change” feel of the locker with a manual transmission. My M715 with a 6.2 diesel with the tires way up in pressure drives like any other vehicle. Lower the tire pressure to around 20 psi and it is a different animal. Especially on the power in 3rd gear...

With no turbo you really don’t feel any difference turning up the IP. At least I didn’t the time I tried it.
If you get black smoke out the exhaust on a non turbo diesel you have too much fuel going in. Flooring the accelerator from a stop might give you a touch of black for a second or two...
I do not know when the hard tops changed window sizes. The 1964 TM if I remember correctly has the small windows shown. But the ones from near the end of production show the sliders. I Just don’t know. Sorry.

As pointed out above, the 6.2 was not designed to be powerful. It was designed to fit in the same place as a gas V8, have the same power as a 2 barrel 305 and get twice the mpg. It does that perfectly!
It was also designed and used in a time when 55 mph was the law of the land.

No idea on the brand. They were in a stash of parts I got. I have since found out they are cheapo units. The push in fuses tend to rattle around some in my experience. Get good quality.
I did something like that on my Cowdog Suburban. I put 2 fuse blocks on the front of the center console. 1 always hot wired directly from a battery. The other switched 12 volts from an empty spot on the left of the stock Chevy fuse panel.

The stock alternators are isolated ground. You will not find such a thing at a chain parts store. They are easy to rebuild and kits are available on this site from at least 1 member and on eBay.
