Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

Mark, Any updates as to what the issues are with your engine? I just wanted to double check to see what your experiences are. Thank you.

    2017 Findlay buy sell trade

I'm looking for a left rear hub for an M35A2 Deuce. I'm ok with getting one with a drum as they are easier to deal with as long as its all in good shape. Gimp - Do you still have the M35A3 seat?

    Me @ Livonia MI Cruise!

At least your fuel pickup tube is easier and cheaper to fix than my blowby! Bring your truck by and Ill troubleshoot and fix it. Give me the money and ill even fill it up with my diesel source! :p

    Wildchild467 Made the News !!!!

You would think they would want to pass me so they don't have to inhale my blowby coming from the slobber tube! rofl haha! Its not that bad honestly, but knowing there is any after all the work I did rebuilding it is enough to make me drink!

    Wildchild467 Made the News !!!!

When I brought my M1061 back from NY, I had the tonka truck strapped down the whole time. People along the way loved it. I saw people hang around the back of my trailer on numerous times. Lots of thumbs up!

What good is a 400 MHz generator?

I had an old non-running WWII 400 HZ generator and I traded it for a deuce snatch block. I thought I did well.

    I love generators!!!

I have an MEP-002A and I haven't hooked it up to my new house to see how it performs. With my old house, I had my electric dryer on, every light on in the house including the night light in the hall, the electric oven on and half the burners until I got to 100% load. My new house my dryer is...

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

WOW Mark... I thought your engine was running well. Did something change? Mine ran good for a while (400ish miles?) after I rebuilt it as well and then I started getting blowby and poor starting performance (even when it was 60 or 70 degrees out). It sounds like you are having the same exact...

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

I put another engine in the truck. Before I put the "new" take out engine in, I honed the cylinders, installed new rings and bolted the heads down that came with the engine. I still think the heads were not the problem with my engine and it was the "new style LDS pistons" not sealing to the...

    M925A2 snow plow install

Looks like a fun build. I would love to put one on my M35A2 but I really have zero use for it since I don't want to drive it on salty roads. It would only be for my driveway and my driveway now takes me about a half hour with my 4 foot front mounted blade on a big garden tractor. I would...

    New from Broome Co. NY

Welcome! I used to live in broome county. I have a M109A3 with the LDS engine for sale in broome county. It runs amazing! I sent a PM on the details.

    adjust pedal?

check your laws but i believe min speed for the highways are 45. 50 is close to 55 which is seems to be the standard max speed for the US. just dont fall below 45 and if you do, you need to turn on your hazard lights like the big trucks do when they pull a hill. again, check local laws to make...

    adjust pedal?

Welcome to the site. First off, the bolt is adjustable, no need to cut things. Second, I don't know what the engine is governed at. All deuces are slow from the factory and probably 50MPH for you is about 2800 RPM or so, right? I don't believe that transmission has an overdrive 4th gear, its...

    Won't go into 2nd gear.

Side note: I put Mobil 1 SAE 50 Transmission Gear oil in my truck and the transmission loved it. Its expensive at $100 for 2 gallons (only needs 5 for a PTO transmission), but I think its worth it. None of the other gear oils seemed to work as good as this stuff. I also installed a magnetic...

    LD/LDT vs LDS Hydraulic heads

I have an LDT head on my LDS pump. It runs fine. There has to be a difference between them all but I'm not sure what it is.

    Rear main seal

Private Pyle strikes again! Good catch.

    Rear main seal

Thank you Mark. I changed it to a screen shot so it should work. It worked for me before but thank you for checking it for me and letting me know.

    Rear main seal

You guys saw this about the rear main seal housing modification, right?

    Metal in transmission

I'm with Gimp on this one. The magnet is doing its job. just keep the transmission full of the proper gear lube (I use synthetic Mobil 50 weight gear oil) and keep driving it.
