You can remove the switch by taking off the knob and removing the nut under it. The biggest problem is space. It is extremely crowded under there and small hands help. Also, there is no way to get into a comfortable position to perform this operation. Good luck.
I don't think any two trucks have the spades mounted in the same spot. If you look at some pictures, you see them mounted every way possible. I believe the government just layed them in the bed. There is a diagram in the TM showing where everything goes. The tow bar just lays in the back...

Good looking wrecker! There are a lot of rubber fuel hoses under the drivers floor. Most of mine were either kinked or cracked, or both. You need a lot of 3/8 and 1/2 inch hose to replace them all.
I've never heard of anyone having a problem with this before. Your probably in virgin territory. If someone knows what company manufactured the "air-assist", maybe you could find a drawing from them. Can't be too complicated...............

I used the NAPA hose. It had to be cut off about two inches on one end and about one inch on the other. Also, the bend wasn't quite right, but it worked and we were able to get it changed in about an hour and a half. It is a pain, but it can be done and the deuce was ready this morning to...
