How do you get 14.00 R20 M939/M944A1 tires off the rim?

I managed to get one off with a "pinch bar". That's probably not the proper name but it's the nail pulling bar with a 180 degree curve on one end and about three feet long. Drive the curved end between the bead and rim and then use a BFH to beat on the top of the bar. You have to go all the...

    5ton Fording Kit

Do you have any instructions? I have a kit but no instructions. It has a lot of small parts and hoses and I don't have a clue where all of them go.

    M1061A1 brake chamber

Can anyone give me a part number, or a supplier, for a M1061A1 brake air chamber? When I picked up my trailer, one of the air chambers was missing. I can't find a number and the local truck parts dealer hasn't been able to match it with anything. I'm also missing a spare tire and wheel...

    Marvel Mystery Oil

I used it in pneumatic nail guns and it ate up all the seals.

    M35 prepping for paint

If you have chipping, pealing paint, a needle scaler works wonders, especially in those hard to sand areas.

How do I bleed air tanks?

They make some spring loaded valves that you can open without crawling under the truck. If your old like me, you might want to get some. Makes it a lot easier to drain your tanks.

    M36A2 at Pinville, Louisiana

My expierence with Pineville is that it may not have anything left on it by the time you pick it up. They have no security.

Help starting 5 ton in DC for $100 cash

It sounds like you would rather pay someone than get out in the snow. You could call a truck stop. I'm sure they would have a service to come out and start your truck. It might cost more than $100 though.

Help starting 5 ton in DC for $100 cash

Bring it down here to Texas and it will probably start right up. If your primer is not working, you will probably need to warm it up some and give it a jump. If you have a portable heater and some slave cables, your in business, if you have another MV to jump it from.

    Super Singles on front only

It wouldn't matter that much on the deuce baecause the only time you use 6 wheel drive is when your in slippery conditions. However, my understanding of the sprage is that it is engaged every time you shift into first geer.

    M816 power divider

Mine was stuck when I got it. There is a shaft running between the frame rails about midway of the truck. There are no places to lubricate it and it is a shaft running within a sleeve. Use a little leverage and some penetrating oil on it to loosen it up.

I would like to see more too. Can you show us some pics of the interior and the storage? I would like to see how you stowed all those extras.

    Deuce Soft Tops

We still have a bunch of the 3 color camo tops. They are the good ones. Not the cheap stuff you get from SG. In fact, we took one of the SG tops off dabtl's truck and put one of these on. There is no comparison! The SG top could be wadded up and put into a shoe box. These tops take a box...

    winch snatch block storage question

I like that idea, and a tread plate lid would make a nice place to stand.

    New guy needs help

Can you trade parts off of the parts truck for the parts you need? If it has a good fuel tank, it's priceless.

    How to remove carc

I've found that a DA sander with 3M 50 grit paper works pretty well. You can't get it at the big box stores. They only sell the cheap stuff and it won't last a minute. The automotive paint stores carry it, but it's not cheap.
