Easy way to check them is with a multi meter 1.5-5 ohms = good, don't need to remove glow plug just pull connector off, attach pos from multi meter to bullet on glow plug and touch neg of multi meter to base of glow plug.
Sounds like not all cylinders firing, I'd check your glow plugs. My wait light functioned normally but start sounded funny, I checked all my glow plugs and 5 were no good. Or being that cold is your diesel in good shape, no moisture causing ice ?
Wear a dust mask you don't want to breath in CARC dust.

I just had 383 green mixed a few days ago at Home Depo. The guy told me they had updated their computer system so they only have to put in Federal Code, 34094 is code I used.
The 2 thin legs are for spacing, there are 2 short legs that trip the release on the switch, they take a lateral load so they need to be strong. I can pull mine off and send some measurements. I'll send it in a PM.
BTW I love M134's, my aircraft had them installed for 11 years, good times.

So my humvee had been starting slow lately, granted it has been cold here got down to 66 the other night, (I'm in Florida and 70 is jacket weather), so I rolled under her today and started checking my glowplugs....Set my multi meter at 200 ohms 5 tested off scale and were declared bad, all plugs...
Put a new gasket on drivers side valve cover, took a while to get everything out of the way but its doable just gently lift injector lines out of the way. When I put it back on and torqued her to bout mid range on torque spec range, I started her up went for a short drive and she was oozing oil...
