I let the magic smoke out of my EESS box, long story short I was installing a CIVI altenator in my M998 to replace the Military one that failed and rather than hook up wires and then start up to check my belts running true I thought why not start up, check belts, adjust if required then hook up...
Looking close at pictures I see “Engine Rotated Method” painted on my hood (humvee still in EUC limbo) any ideas ? I assume it mean engine is not seized.
It’s a USMC M1152. Humvee not running (no batteries or belt).
Thanks Rick
Welcome to the site. I used to own a M923A2 and did all my own maintance, even have the above mentioned tester for the ABS and probable a few parts laying around, send me a PM maybe I can help.
Not on my humvee but 1 I'm working on, installed rear winch, had to have brackets made to hook everything up. Wired up relay with a wired remote and a wireless remote, tomorrow I hook up the power and see if 911 gets a call  ... Also installing USB ports and a radio. busy busy
I seam to remember a blurb in the -10 about the light will only flash on then go out if over 120 degrees. My '86 M998 6.5 did the flash on then go out but turned out to be the batteries, put new batteries in and problem gone. Find the trouble shooting tree and follow it, answer the question down...
Thanks 86humv, I do not see that manual listed in the ™’s section. What I’m looking for is also the “how to” install. I found the parts manual using Mr. Google but did not really help.
I find instructions for the front mount but not for the rear mounting. Is there a TM out there that I haven't found ? All I've got is a Warn 24v electric winch on a rear mount plate, no controller or instructions.
Thanks
Is the hub supported ? I assume the front is jacked up off the ground. I had an issue putting a half shaft back in and once I raised the hub it lined everything up and half shaft slipped right in.
