...Try driving a 915a3 with a 40 foot trailer through a small German village with cobblestone streets lol...Id take any big city rush hour over that anyday.
p.s. A M915a3 will fit on paved bike paths in Germany...the bikers dont think its funny though....
As for the OP though, I never went...
Im no mechanic, nor do I understand why it does what it does, but as a truck driver I can tell you that under a load, diesel engines can get VERY hot. Ive seen EGT and CHT gauges touch on 1300 + degrees, which in some engines will melt the pistons, not the turbo. My deuce has the fuel turned up...
....im dropping a leave form this week. Im going to try to fly in to ATL on the 9th in the afternoon. Then wheels up on the 15th back to LAX.... I really, really wanna go now lol.

No...its a semi-gloss paint to match the 24087 style paint job. Its turning out really good I think. It looks better out in the sun instead of cooped up in its cave. It takes a good while for it to fully cure though.
Got more painting done. I didnt do a "pro" job on the frame rails, but I tried to get the bumperettes as smooth as possible so the bumper numbers will turn out good. Moving along...next weekend Ill do my best to get the bed painted up and re-attached to the truck, and then do another coat or two...
Had my first MV visitor at my LZ today. My buddy from work brought his '70 AMG M35 by so I could assist him in changing some tires that were badly worn out. We swapped out two tires and then moved two. The new ones he had for the front were recap's and I informed him that recaps do not belong on...
Just beat it out with a BFH...works for me
(totally kidding of course)
Go with a 20 ton Id say...that should cover the few parts that require a press.
I dont know about the linkages and throttle levers, but if it has JP4 in it, I think the engine would become a grenade...If all the throttle linkages are fine and set properly and it still runs like that, drain the tank and lines, change the filters etc, and refill with good diesel. I think JP4...
Got a little more paint sprayed today. After using bondo on the bumper to fill deep gouges, Id say it turned out good. Any comments on the color? I like it.
Redbeard,
Yah I wanted to paint the back of the cab/front of the bed before installation...Ill probably completely paint the bed before putting it on though. I have to do more prep work on that still...but Im trying to get the truck at least finished soon. My goal is to get it least back to...
My bad. I just figured I would start a thread that was all about the paint codes only without 3 or 4 pages of "looks good" "nice truck" and all that...you can delete it if you think its off kilter...
I went to the Depot today to get some 24087 color Behr ultra using the codes from a thread by hcso1988. The lady told me that they were the old codes because HD has went to a new lower VOC paint formula's and the codes changed. She tried to mix up a small sample can for me but it isnt right...
