Curiosity - front turn light brush guard

I saw quite a few A2's and A3's when I was in europe. I had never seen any A2 with the square ones. The ones that did have additional lights attached had the lollipop cup things. If they were Euro, were they for old trucks or newer ones I wonder... Thinking about it it may just be a similar...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

So RedBeard, I take it that little shred of old canvas was enough to do the whole seat eh? Glad to hear it! Oh and I just thought of something...that old duffle has been quite a few places.. Alaska, Germany, and it did manage its way to Iraq so...that might make for an interesting conversation...

Curiosity - front turn light brush guard

In all my time around green iron, I had never seen squared turn signal covers like this...till last saturday. RedBeardZombieHunter's truck also has them. At first I though they were bent but then realized both sides were the same lol...I have no clue.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I put the soft top frame I got from RedBeard on and secured. Thats about all Ive done lately...been distracted by an old crappy ford tractor lol....but this weekend I should get a bunch done. Might even mount the old style tail lights, also aquired from Redbeard. I really need to get hot on the...

    Give some ideas please

Making some sort of short "bed" type thing with a seat rack in it and definitely some sort of safety railing would be kind of cool I think...as long as your not hauling people around with the 5th wheel trailer hooked up. That would be a huge no-no. Something like a cat-walk with a bench seat...

    Jerry can project

If muriatic acid is hydrochloric acid, then its a really weak form of it. I used to use muriatic acid all the time to clean my pneumatic dry bulk tanker trailers...takes concrete dust off the aluminum pretty good. Just had to wash it down with water fairly quickly is all...

The "HOOD IN THE FACE" club

Luckily (knock on wood) I have never had a hood flip up on me. Ive had tool boxes come open, and even had the orange cover from a warning beacon fly off but thats about it. Bout the only "oops" I can think of was hooking to a M172 lowboy thats landing gears didnt work so it hand sand shoes on. I...

Marine Corps Logistics Station, Barstow CA

Dont worry about that 10 day stuff...if they give you a load out date after your 10 days because they are swamped it does NOT go against you. When I got my Deuce back in oct 10, it was almost 20 some odd days after the 10 day thing...I asked the GL guy and he said thats just a standard rule they...

    Need Deuce Mechanic

BK...thats really not all that hard of a job to do. It just seems daunting really. Hardest part would be dropping the tranny and removing the flywheel in my opinion (heavy). If you have the tools, the TMs are gold. If you dont have the tools..now would be a good time to aquire some. If it...

    WWII Airshow Today...

    B-24 Broke nosewheel

I always hate seeing these old birds getting damaged. Im glad the damage was minimal and repairable. Obviously Im also glad there were no injuries. At least it didnt end like the B-17 that was lost last year. Always a shame when we lose these priceless pieces of history.

    LDT's in the cans

Heck Id love to have a reman in the can...but its way too far for me to get in on. How much are all 10 engines? if its cheap go for it anyway...Id bet you can get 2K + for each one even if no one here wants one.

    Oh woo is me

Thats the clutch disk I have in my truck. Works fine for me. Only thing I can say about your rear seal is: CHANGE IT WHILE YOUR DOING YOUR CLUTCH JOB....lol. If it aint leaking now, It will start leaking as soon as you put your truck back together.. (murphy's law) Mine did lol. Eriks has the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Well this weekend I rented a sandblaster and attempted to get busy...although I probably should have waited and planned things out a little better. That and a few setbacks kind of rendered this whole weekend a complete waste of time and money. I did get some sand flung at the bed but did not get...

    M35A3 Gun Truck?

I concur with historyfanatics...probably just a cargo with a gunring...not a Guntruck. Most trucks I ever drove that were newer then say '90 had M-16 rifle mounts in them. Usually 3 of them. The M35a3's my unit in Germany all had reinforced cabs but only one had gun ring legs on it. It never saw...
