You wouldn't be able to fold down the window section with anything mounted there. Maybe it's for the air drop cabs; they can install the antenna once the cab is buttoned up? Might be easier than installing a different mount on those cabs.
I am going to diverge just a little and say maybe your cooling system is not working at full/peak efficiency. I drove mine yesterday evening, when the temps were probably about the same range, 85 or so degrees. Full out running down the highway my temp stayed right around 200 according to the...
Don't hit the mode button unless you are offroading in slippery conditions. It changes the torque split of the transfer case, and the manual advises not to do this on hard surfaces. At least on the A0 model trucks, you can use the up/down arrows to set the highest gear the transmission will...
I like the hanging cabinet behind the driver's seat. Kind of like an upgraded version of the cloth hang bag like mine has on the passenger side. Does it have a shelf inside? Does that cargo net just snap on?
I seem to remember some discussion about this and how they may have used some transmissions wired for WTEC3 with the WTEC2 controllers by modifying the wiring harness?
Just in case anyone needs this, and please correct me if I have anything wrong. Most of the Haldex stuff is available through Napa, and most any heavy truck parts house. Napa is just easy and widespread.

I am slowly working on something similar, but using civilian stuff. In another thread a member said that he is using a Sigtronics intercom system and that is what I am going to put together. The Transcomm II is portable so I can use it when I ride in someone else's MV or whatever. I have a...
Here's a picture of Wehring's LMTV. Now keep in mind his is an A1 model with electronic fuel injection, bumped HP through programming, and the high speed gears. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?131893-Wehring-LMTV-Mods&p=1739053&viewfull=1#post1739053
I am missing the troop alarm. I like this idea though. When I was at the NC Denton rally the last two years I camped in the back of the truck and having that 12v outlet would have been nice.
That is only the M1079 (and maybe 5 ton with van enclosure?). The M1078 has no spring mounts.
edit: you said "box mount" and not "bed mount"..so mine was probably an unnecessary clarification.
The trucks, or the engine, do carry an EPA exemption. You may or may not recall a while back the DoD stopped selling surplus equipment to the public due to concerns over emissions and the EPA exemption. The premise was that the vehicles, generators, etc were made with these exemptions for...
It might be a long shot, but try cleaning up the circuit board(s) and see what happens. I would try maybe water and a toothbrush, let it dry and then clean it with DeoxIT D5. You can get a spray can on Amazon at a good price. I have been using it to clean various electrical contacts. If...
My truck has this "2nd gen" frame setup. Unfortunately a couple of the horizontal poles are very rusted in a few spots. The straps that secure the cover to the frame at the top will also hold moisture, and couple that with movement rubbing the paint, and now you have rusty spots. A few of the...
I think you could sell a few for sure. I thought about just cutting a disk to replace my old original one, but your stamped one looks great! How about a "Steel Soldiers" one?
Also worth mentioning, the thread I linked earlier has the part number for the rebuild kit for the 25060 if you wanted to go that route. Not a huge price difference to just buy a whole valve, and you could rebuild your old ones as spares. Just an option.
If Napa isn't very helpful at your local store, look for a heavy duty truck parts place. Near me there is Napa (distribution center), Fleetpride, Truck Pro, and one or two others. All of them can look up the same Haldex part numbers to find what you need.
