I just replaced a box housing with the later 6.5 round filter housing (plugs are the same) I also suspected a bad housing, and rather then search for the right o-rings I just swapped housings. Glad I did, because initial inspection showed a slight cracking near the bottom of the housing...
Odds are it is without turn signal wiring, and for generator, not alternator...plus on the wrong side. Then I think it was injection pump power was used from the coil power. Or something like that.

Still need a slip joint, driveshaft needs a place to compress and extend. Slip yokes make for a 1 piece solid driveshaft, fixed yokes make a 2 piece shaft.

Couple extra bucks, but you could get the driveshaft made for the other axles and use a conversion joint until you get the axles, the length is pretty minimal, so your slip joint should take up the extra slack. Just a thought.

425psi is a good pressure, very good is close to 475, poor is 375 or lower. On the good 6.2 I do I see 475 alot, 6.5 I can see 500 sometimes. The next step up in gauge is probably going to be a 1000psi gauge.
FYI glow plug thread is an M10-1.0.

Can anyone tell me what size socket (needs to be deep as well) is used to pull the sparkplugs. I have tried every 13/16 I could find, seems none are deep enough. And 7/8 seems to be too large....
I tried searching, tried finding my old plugs, have absolutely no clue where the socket went I...
Precision weather strip products has videos, and more then once they say this is a dry install, use of a urethane caulk is highly recomended. I'm not sure on resellers like LMC, but most glass companies will refuse to do an install if they can't put the urethane in.
Use of urethane to retain...
I was assuming he thought it was just black rtv, urethane doesn't dry hard, and remains slightly pliable.
It's also a bear to remove, best success I've had was those strip discs you can put in a drill. But even then they clog up fast.

Starting in 1983(I think) it was required for all glass installers to start using urethane to retain the seal and help prevent glass ejection in case of a crash. Any car taken to a glass installer will have urethane used to retain the seal. An at home install isn't required to use urethane, but...
I'm pretty sure I did use the prime rod, it's been 2 years though. And I'm using a kit from Then and Now Auto, with ethanol compatible materials. They came highly recommended.

Well the whole reason for this thread was for a hopefully quick response, and also because I had misplaced my manuals (note to self, don't clean and reorganize at the same time) posting a picture, that does verify that 9542 is a correct fuel pump casting number, so the pump is correct.
I will...
I actually have a 24v electric pump I've thought about throwing on instead. Might just do that anyways. Keep the mechanical under the seat for a road spare.

Can someone verify this is the correct part number for the OA331 gas motor fuel pump.
AC pump, 9542, only numbers on the pump.
I rebuilt it two years ago, but it appears the top diaphragm has ripped (I drained fuel for winter storage) priming it pushes fuel out the top vent. I picked up a...
So a DB2831-4911 pump is a 6.5 turbo pump, calibration is different from an NA pump.
There are three basic mechanical injection 6.2/6.5 pumps, DB2829 and DB2831 and a marine version DB2833. All 6.2 use the .29 pump, which is the plunger size. 6.5 use the .31 plunger, marine is .33.
The last 4...
Oh, and take a run over to dieselplace.com, read reviews there, but not many speak highly of Bostic.
I'm not sure what your budget is and if you only want new, but two places I recommend are leroy diesel, for new, and teds trucks (ebay) for used surplus/takeout engines.

There is no difference between 6.2 and 6.5 NA pop pressures. Pop for NA motors is 126 bar (multiply by 14.7 for psi) 145 bar for turbo motors.
There are several styles of 6.2 injectors, tall with coarse thread, tall with fine thread, and short with fine thread. 6.5 is short with fine thread...
Some pictures, looks like there is an extra collar on the lunnette, that allows it to rotate. So should be an easy fix there. Thanks for the link to the manual, was very helpful.
There are dents all over, only 2 real concerning rust areas, and the tailgate is pretty beat. I figure on a complete...
Getting real close to do tires on my truck, 1952 M35, going back to duals from single 11.00R20s'.
Couple questions on tube size and flap size. I haven't fully decided on going 9.00-20 or maybe stepping up to a 10.00-20. If I get 9.00-20 tubes, could I still use them in a 10.00-20 tire? I know...
I'll add that for those considering a serpentine swap, 97+ with dual thermostats won't bolt up unless you modify the throttle cable bracket, and also replace the metal return line that crosses front of engine. Unless you get the super rare single thermostat housing from late 96 (late 96 started...
