Really not to nit-pick here, but just wanted to point out that HEMTT's and PLS's are two different animals....PLS has 3 rear drivers (10X10), where as the HEMTT's only had 2 (8x8 ) ...sorry...sometimes i cant help it. lol.
Other then that, i must say that is AMAZING! The attention to...
Pretty sweet....I remember when i was in AK we took all our old deuces to DRMO, most with no brakes, some with no engine oil, axle oil, etc...what a fubar trip that was lol...from what i understand, over half of them ended up on the Jarvis bomb range behind Eilseon AFB as targets for jets or...
I think most trucks had this one bracket. The full mounts however are a seperate assebly. I dont know where you can find one. Ask around here..im sure someone knows where one is or has one to sell.
If ULS Diesel is bad for the pump, what should be added to help maintain proper lube? oil? All i can get around here is ULS diesel. My new car runs it and was designed for it, but i never did consider it being bad for the deuce...
I was gonna say that it was a 5T...i was looking at the door and its plate, then the mirrors, then the small corner peice, then i saw the gas tank. If i had a '54 id build both versions

Ok heres a little update:
After much consideration, discussions, and research, I have decided to scrap the idea of a fictional truck, and replicate one that existed in VN. With that in mind, and scouring pics for one that I want to replicate, I have made up my mind and decided to copy the...
Arent these the type that you have to undo a snap-ring in the yoke and slide the one cap off to get the U-joint itself out? If thats the case, and theres no zerk, dont you have to use grease to hold all the bearings in the cap to re-install them? Im no U-joint expert, and have only done ones...
Thats nothing! I once took a M925 W/W loaded with about 2000lbs. of dunnage, C wire and pickets airborne. I was going much slower then that (at first) and i can honestly say with absolutely NO bs inferred, i honked the horn 3 times with my face, and hit the cab with the top of my k-pot at least...
Having just pulled my transmission and replaced some things...id say get a new clutch disk, pressure plate, throw out bearing, rear main seal for the motor, new input shaft bearing and a gasket set. Its a chore to drop the transmission out so if you have it out, might as well change everything...
Well, i drained the system, took out the T-stat and got as much crud out as i could. I checked the T-stat in a pot of boiling water, made sure it opens and then reinstalled it, refilled the system, and ran the truck at 1500 rpm with cardboard in front of the radiator and waited till the gauge...
