And seriously think about doing the rest of your wheel cylinders.......just for peace of mind. if one was leaking usually the rest won't be far behind.
Is it a physical shudder with no change in engine rpm or is it a roll with slight drop in rpm. If it is a roll with slight rpm drop then I would suspect the governor. In other words the governor is hunting for the rpm but cannot stabilize the speed.
Kohler used the same flat head continental engine on their marine generators for pleasure boats. You can probably still get spark plug wires from them if you can find someone with NOS parts. Also check this website:

They have manuals and stuff like that for Fairbanks...
If I'm not mistaken, the vent systm is connected to the master cylinder. Since you put a remotereservoir under the hood the brake fluid is basically overfilling the master cylinder and going out the vent line. Unless of course you disconnected and capped the line and connection to the master...
This was a pretty funny post. Not trying to be rude or anything but I happen to work for an industrial centrifuge manufacturer. I have had salesmen in my company tell me of small places that were converting used cooking oil into biodiesel were using washing machines to clarify their oil. When...
I just finished watching that video that papercu posted. WHAT AN AWESOME VEHICLE!!!!!!
What the ARMY should do is have the CIA steal one of those from China and bring it over here to say Area 51.....We could have OUR engineers reverse engineer it for our armed forces!!!! (of course we'd have to...
I wish,
Not only are the machines expensive new but parts........yeah, you'd be screamin if you had to buy parts. The pic I posted is one of the simplest machnies we make with the fewest amount of gaskets...2 to be exact and both o-rings........
Jag7720,
The machine I posted the pic of is a 9000 rpm unit. Stainless steel bowl. Our machines are used to filter fuel oil and lube oil on ships.....Have you ever seen a ship at a jiffy lube??? Our machines a a little bit more complicated then what you have. Oh yeah, that 9000 was a used unit...
Instead of filters you guys should think about finding a used centrifuge to filter with like the one I uploaded the pic from ebay. Cost 9,000 but in the long run it will save you money on filters. This is only if you have alot of oil to filter. Just have to heat it up to sep temp and you'd be...
Sorry for your loss OPCOM.
I was just on the GSA auction website (http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/gsaauctions/)
They have a few 10 kw generators up for auction in South Carolina that are trailer mounted.
Maybe you can pick one up at a fair price and let your friend pay for it.
Also he should...
Ok, I did somke checking and apparently I'm wrong. The heads do apppear to be interchangeable. Anyway, I did come across this article about building performance Cummins Diesels ( How To Build a High Performance Cummins Diesel ). Sorry, I know you're not supposed to post links but I do feel this...
I'm not absolutely sure but I seem to remember from my tech school day the instructor for the Cummins engine (he was an X Army tank mechanic/Cummins expert) saying that there was a difference in the heads of the naturally aspirated (non turbo) and turbo charged Cummins engine. If I remember...
