I have three hard tops. I truly planned on keeping all of them but I will probably sell one if you would like to come take a look. I am not too far from you.
Not trying to hyjack the thread but it may apply to one of my trucks M35 with flat bed. I installed 24v 4" round led taillights and I'm getting voltage bleed when turning on the taillights. Basically with lights on the second stage of the taillights, bright "brake" are illuminated. Lights...
You can also attach the magnet to the drill bit. This will magnetize the bit as well as catch shavings, obviously limiting drill speed with this option.
Here is an updated picture from the post above. The picture is showing me breaking the rear axle trying to pull a lowboy that was stuck on the crown of the road. The front tires lifted once so she tried... I checked it over today and it is not the axle shafts,it actually broken in the third...
You will need adjustable spanner wrenchs to get the pulley apart. This is what I was referring to in my first comment. As you loosen the pulley and the belt will loosen. Here are the part numbers for the belts. Some folks are going to recommend a half inch shorter belt. But fixing something...
The biggest issue is not having air pack working to boost the brakes. Also if you do find out it is actually the belt you may want to get some penetrating oil on the threads so we can start working to loosen up the pulley. You can definitely limp the truck a short distance if you had to, but...

I did not actually remove the knuckles from the axle. But based on some of the other work that was done on the truck prior to me getting it this could very well be the issue. Thank you very much and I will check it out and respond back with my findings.
OK this is where I am so far. I removed the spindle and removed the inner axle washer, the one that is located at the retainer. I reinstalled the spindle and the axle shaft is still extremely tight. After paying close attention while installing the spindle it appears as though it is on an...
Hey Mr G I was hoping you'd read this and chime in. I'm not trying to swap an early shaft for a spicer. I did not know if this was something a prior owner may have tried to do. According to my parts guy with the seal retainer I installed should be for the Spicer type of joint. It does not have...
I bought a excavator thumb from united rentals. I can't seem to make time to run up to grab it. It's one pallet 500-800 lbs. If anyone is making a trip by that way please let me know.

Yes he was definitely a good friend, we always messed with military trucks together. The vertical pieces on both sides go to the pins that attach the D rings to the truck. The bar in the pintle hook it still is a bit small, but there is little to no slop in the hitch. Then when you install...
