What do you say when the Fl DOT stop you and wants to dip your tank? You have your fuel blenders lic. and all your tax docs in order?
I agree with the others. They want to steal it, let them suffer the consiquences
I believe its in this video. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/438072-post18.html
Search youtube for "airdrop" or "air drops" and you'll see all kinds of stuff
Ok maybe I am just missing it but I just looked thru that TM and a few others (which on the 2.5t dump list those tiedowns rated at 695#) and I can not find any reference showing the vehicle being tied down with those handles. The only reference I can find is in the Air transportability guide...
You should get yelled at, and fined. Of all the other correct tie downpoints on that truck and you chose those weak little handles? Who do you haul for so I know who not to call when I need something moved.
Incase your wondering there is a "flat" welded to the front of the trailer to keep the lunette from spinning, but but it is not welded to the lunette. It may be that its just covered with paint and looks like the lunette it welded.
MW, where did you pick up seats? Ive been looking for a second seat to put in the 818.
Just the seat, I dont need the hmmwv springer base.
I took a regular spring seat base and removed the seat part and just used some flat stock to relocate the seat mounts...
Forget all the prying and heating. (mapp gas will not get hot enough anyways, you need a proper torch) . Get a BIG sledge. Not a 2 pound hand sledge, a BIG sledge, the kind you would hit a wedge to split oak with. Spray the lunett with penatrating oil, and hit the end of the lunette like...
As long as you dont cut the frame your not hurting anything by putting a bed on it. I have an M818 Im putting a bed on and exhaust and spare tire davit off a900 series on it. I will stock pile all the removed stock parts and itcould easily be restored back to a tractor in a bout a weekends...
I think Im going to need some help getting the M818 up and running. Needs new batteries and hasn't been started in over a year. Ive got a gen to swap out and I want to get the new exhaust manifold swapped out so I can get the stack behind the cab hooked up. I'd like todrive itup there this year...
I saw that truck and like a jackass completely forgot the day it closed. I too would like to know who now owns it.
I would like a step for the M818 like the front step on the 10tons.
I believe it's from the t-case. It is on the 809 series, and the t-caseis nearly the sameon the 900's. Actually now that I think about it, it has to be from the t-case so the speedo would read right in high or low range.
Just follow the speedo cable down and see where it ends.
