    Deuce Fuel Tank Blanket

I was not thinking a heated blanket for the fuel tank, only a cover to keep the wind off it. I was also thinking about a liquid to liquid heat exchanger for the return line going to my tank. I was thinking that might help warm the tank up and thin out my fuel. I just don't know the GPM of the...

MEP-003A just goes click when trying to start - fully charged fresh batteries

If you crank it over and the oil pump fills the canister filter, be sure to check your oil level again a few times after to make sure it is full. Also be sure not to crank the engine over with the switch on the control panel for longer than 15 seconds. Cranking longer than 15 seconds will burn...

    Backyard Huey in Oregon

I would stop by and see what the story is on it. See if it is for sale, and drag that puppy up on my M1061A1 trailer and hit the road, grinning from gear to gear (ear to ear) :)

M925A2 ( M939A2 Series ) Engine Coolant Cab Heater Performance

It has not been flushed that I am aware of.

M925A2 ( M939A2 Series ) Engine Coolant Cab Heater Performance

Good Morning my Steel Soldier Friends, I have a friend with a M925A2 and the performance of his heater does not seem to be as good as the one in my M35A2. I know they are somewhat different animals with cam volume, engine spec and cab floor insulation... but they are the same heater core I...

    Chrome'd out deuce

My theory is that anything that is chrome in the civilian world should be flat black in the military world. You think wheels should be chrome? Then paint the wheels on your deuce flat black. You want the lady silhouette on the mud flaps? Paint them flat black. Flat black is the new chrome.

    939 fuel tank capacity

This fat boy was hungry. The Froot Loops I had for breakfast didn't cut it. Thanks for lunch by the way! :D

    Highway speed

All the funny looking beacons can look funny on a road trip, but when it comes down to it at the end of the day, getting there in one piece safely is what everybody wants. It's sad that the gentleman lost his life but if we can all learn something and maybe make some changes so we stay safer...

    939 fuel tank capacity

Your gauge works like it should too... you just choose not to fill the tank. Your gauge is pretty much spot on..... Empty. :)

    Highway speed

I almost got rear ended by a tractor trailer when I was driving my deuce pulling my M105 Trailer out to Michigan. I look in my side mirror only to see a tractor trailer swerve at the last minute and take out the car in the other lane. the other car was fortunate and only got its back bumper...

    Deuce Fuel Tank Blanket

I have seen the Arctic Kits with the grill cover and hood cover.... but did the military ever have a fuel tank blanket? I am thinking how I could keep my fuel tank warmer in the colder months to make the WMO flow good other than thinning the fuel out with diesel. I think the military just...

Michigan Area MV Events for 2014

I know it is late in the season, but are any more events going on in Michigan before the snow flies? I love trail riding the deuce and I am sad I could not make the last trail ride in Ray, Michigan this past weekend. I will take my deuce anywhere no matter what the temperature is... as long as...

    Crushed Fuel Line?

I was thinking about replacing my copper line going from my primary filer to my injection pump. My concern is that the air going over that fuel line will cool down my WMO blend of fuel in the colder months and take more force to pull fuel though the lines. The other concern is its vulnerability...

    Wreckerman's M927A3 cargo/tractor truck

Need to move the tandems back where they should be, similar to how a M819 is set up. I would use that as a guide to set your wheelbase... if you go forward with this project.

    Fresh fuel tune up

Pop test the injectors and adjust the valves... that will be a big difference also. Mine purrs real nice after i did that. I agree with Warthog, Paint is a beautiful thing. I have been nagging to 74M35A2 for month to get time for us to paint his M925A2 but it has not panned out yet. Maybe someday!

Browsing GL I saw the exact same trailer I towed as a young PFC

Thats great you found it! the trailer I bought a while back from a private seller used to belong to my buddy's unit in Rochester, NY. It's a small world.... even with MV's.

1970 2.5 ton m35a2 oil leak on driver side leaf

I agree steering box could be leaking. If it is a lot, It might be something else too. The o-rings on either side of the timing advance housing were bad on mine when I pulled mine apart to change the pump. I put new o-rings in it, installed new oil pressure lines on the pump and it helped out my...

    939 fuel tank capacity

My fuel gauge works like a dream. Dont get me wrong, I still carry a full Jerry can just in case. Its always better looking at fuel than looking for it.

    Turbo check

Is it a C turbo or D turbo? Not all Deuces have Whistler Turbos. The C's are the Whistler Turbos, the D's are Non-Whistler. It has been said the D's are more durable than the C Turbos.

    Clicking in fuel tank

I hear a clicking sound when my air compressor is pumping up the air tanks. Its just a resonance of the air lines. Soon as it builds up the air and shuts off, the sound stops. Could your be a similar cause? My truck is a M35A2 by the way. What is your truck?
