30 PSI? Holy cow!! Ive done alot of expermenting and have never gotten a set of head gaskets to survive more than 24PSI. No matter what style of gasket i used. I can't see a "C" turbo pulling this off. But a "D" could if provided enough heat. I've done it on the flow bench. Not to mention i'm...
Do a test with a five gallon can and a additive like STA-BIL. Fill the can as much as you can to keep as little as air possable in the container. Then store it in a shaded area to keep it from expanding and leaking in the heat of the day.
But with as little as 5% bio i think you should be ok...
Is the truck idleing alot? Or running at light loads? It looks like you are wet stacking. Like generators that are running with too light a load. Try working it harder. If you are running around empty alot dump some gas and or diesel in the fuel tank to thin it some. Oil needs alot of heat to...
My kid finished his basic there 6 months ago. He told me about having to run by that yard every morning and evening. That lot was alot more bare when i was there. IT looks like stuff from aberdeen. And i hope so id hate to see it go to the scrapper
I removed my intake and exaust manafolds. Then polished the insides with a sandpaper flapper wheel on a diegrinder. Do i have any horsepower numbers you say? No but it did make a seat of the pants difference in power. I was trying to take out turbulance and drag from the air/exaust stream.
Go to fourwheel parts on westhimer. It's not too far from HWY 6. They probally have everything you will need in stock. If not, they can get it for you. If it's too much. PM me i have a few used axles with everything you need.
I have noticed with all of my 6.2's both civi and CUCV's. They dont like cold air. And a 2 to 3 MPG difference is normal for my 82 civi with a 6.2 and banks turbo. My CUCV doesent get milage checked very often because i use it off road enough that there will be no accurate numbers. And they both...
Yes you should be able to turn the engine over with a socket and ratchet. Espacilly if it is a high hour or mileage engine. If you contune to turn it, it will start building compression and be harder to turn.
It sound like you have air in the system. This will make a multi miss and rattle. Pull the lift pump from the tank. And use some brake cleaner to clean the pickup screen. Then change all three fuel filters. Use a good fuel injector cleaner like lucas. Most multis will pass the air with out...
That sure looks like fun. I love using my mv's off road. The problem here is, the only thing to look at is mud holes and pine trees. After a while all mud holes look pretty much the same. Please post more pics if you have them. That's some pretty scenery.
