John,
My M52a2 is a 5ton. I sought out this type of tractor because it uses the Multifuel engine. And interchanges alot of parts with my 2 1/2 tons. It has the 10 lug rims and 1100-20 tires like your trailer. I have a Manual at home that i will look up the M series for you. I just can't...
I saw a Paxton supercharger mounted on a 6.2 installed in a 85 chevy monty carlo SS while at a car show. He told me he had to make his own mounting brackets. But that it worked quite well. He modified a set of humvee exaust headers by warming the pipes with a torch and bending them to clear...
The NON whistler "D" turbo does not share the same internals. Everything is larger. Good job on the tear down. The most critical detal is the BALENCE!!!! This can not be overstated! Glad to see you marked the shaft with the compressor wheel. Be shure not to remove any metal what so ever. This...
That air filter you have will work just fine. I have one on my 95 youkon with a 6.5. You might consider a mechanical boost controller. That vacume one isn't going to allow full boost with out computer control. I put on on mine and set it for 14 PSI. Works great.
Im with derf. Every piece of military equipment i have is underated. The civi version of my MEP003 is rated a 15KW. And the civi version doesent come with the oil cooler. I too have ran 4K off of mine with window unit AC's. The load meter showed 80%.
My 701 has always been a smoker. Mostly at start up. I have my own pop tester and have checked the spray pattern on the injector. It looked good with no dribbling. Since i couldnt tell a difference on noise i removed all the outside insulation panels. It's pretty hot here and so i was hoping...
The A/C compressor for the 6.2 sits on the drivers side. It might be easier to use a setup from a M1010 amby. Then you could mount your A/C or air compressor on the drivers side. Or install a eletric compressor on the drivers side fender well.
Mine was the same way when i got it. A contact maintence truck conversion. I installed a bed back on it. You can't haul anything with a 1031 bed. Mine is a A1 and i'm glad i have the NP205. Although it's my problem child, out of my
MV's it's one of my favorites.
Don't forget your leaf spring bushings. Look at the bolt head to see if it is in the center of the spring eye. The bushinings were sagging on mine and ater replacing them with urathane bushings my wobble went away.
I'm with kenny. I've had the best luck with kroil. Try hitting the head of the bolt with a good heavy hammer.
Strike it tward the treads. As if trying to drive the bolt into the hole. This will help break the bonds
between the threads. Hopefully. Good luck.
That smokes black about like mine. Dark enough to put a shadow on the ground. And to easily fill a school bus traveling next to you in the right lane with thick black soot.
Now i have mine turned up pretty far. But it looks like it smokes as much as mine. As the engine picks up RPM's and the turbo catches up the smoke starts to clear. It looks normal for a FDC that wasent reset after bypassing. Put a pryo on it if your loading it on hills. So you will know when...
I can see your point. Although i don't know how well it would work. There are plenty of circuts behind the panel that would probally still be effected. It couldn't hurt, unless some one started it. Id also build a faraday cage for it. And ground that also. And mabye a container inside a...
Tom i've pulled mine with my M1028 stock many miles. And it isn't level at all. I used to haul a 46 CJ2A i had with it to off road runs. You just need to give yourself extra stopping room. And the tail lights will be very dim. The CUCV has a 12V output. Mabye get some LED bulbs so you can tow it...
