Several issues- Your duece engine won't like running like that, and will wet stack. You don't have a governer, so setting every time the load changes your RPM will change. Only way it won't is if you are making way, way more power than needed to drive the genset- then you are back to badly...

    How much do 395s weigh?

Got an NSN for the assembly? I will look it up.

    Question about the NSN sheet

Until you have it or have inspected it all you can do is hope that the GL folks got the VIN and year right- they do about 75% of the time. Yet another reason why laying hands and eyes on the trucks before you bid is a really good idea.

    Question about the NSN sheet

That page only lists the most recent procurement history. It is generic, every M35A2 will show the same data.

    3 lever switch issues

While I agree the new ones are crap, that isn't the rebuilds come off the line with the old style. Since the 3 lever meets the spec, and costs less, using it means more profit for the company doing the rebuild- that is why they use them!

    Found 2 M757 at a Texas auction

Its against the rules to post an auction before it has closed. Yes, that means that trucks like this may be more likely to get to the scrapper, but the rules are what they are. The priority here is more that some folks can keep sale secret to get better deals than it is about saving stuff from...

    Sellable value for a M35A3

Insurance is a must. There is a thread on here where a new member with a newly purchased M35A3 had his front tire blow on the way home, he ended up going off the road and doing a lot of damage to his truck. It could have been a lot worse. Imagine had there been people or other vehicles...

This works, as does buying a lunette lock. I have use 2 flat pieces of steel and an eye bolt to fab a lock before.

    3 lever switch issues

I have found that some switches, for whatever reason, had extra thermal circuit breakers in odd places. ours may be one.

    Looking for a Deuce

It is common when they sit, but while some fluid may get it working, odds are if it sat long enough for the issue to pop up you will need to go ahead and replace the wheel cylinders soon. So if he gets it going, go ahead and budget new wheel cylinders into yous cost and plan on replacing them.

    Sellable value for a M35A3

One thing about millionaires- they got that way by being smart with money. Like doing the research to see what the real value is.

    Sellable value for a M35A3

Local market differences won't go any higher than the cost to ship a truck in- since there are plenty of A3's on the east coast, no more than $1500-2000 over anywhere else. The truck that was bid to $5100 was in Ohio, and it had an $8,000 buy it now that nobody took the bait on. That truck...

    Sellable value for a M35A3

No, people are ASKING that. ASKING does not mean selling. Lets look at closed Ebay listings- auctions show real value. Two started at $12,500 no bids, no sale. One started at $15,000 no bids, no sale. Two started at $13,500 no bids, no sale. Two started at $6,500 no bids, no sale. One...
