Why not get the GM part number from the TM 9-2320-289-34p parts manual? Most stores can cross reference that number easily.

depending on what model of truck you have, it is either a Cummin's NHC250 or the 6CT8.3L.
Just a straight M923 should have the NHC250.

If you are going to only have one installed make sure it is the driver side. The passenger side charges the rear battery only comes into play while starting.
I have run a truck without either alternator. Not recommended but can be done.
Is there a reason you only want to run one alternator?
Iron Planet (nor Govliquidation) does not title trucks. They only you the Governments reassigned SF-97 form. It is up to you to title it. Your state won't take it? Complain to them.
