Im thinking the biggest power draw I would use might be a skill saw or something to the effect which is about 2600 starting 1800 operating so I am thinking about 3500W... I first wanted 7500 but Ken and I talked about it one eve and the power consumption out does the performance for what I...
My father whom just retired (and is probably already looking for another job to get out of the house) checks the site every few days to see how things are progressing and is planning on going to Aberdeen with me in May next year... Old man... ya better get some hearing protection cause your...
Good to have you aboard Eric... The Pinz community is a tight group, its nice to see you guys funneling in... I think you will find the site SS and its members top notch.
Mids and highs are Blaupunkt 540's and 650's component sets which are getting crammed everywhere lol...
Subs (or butt massagers as Kenny calls them) are the pictured 10" P2's, one under each seat...
Amps Mid / High is a 4 channel Kole Audio... I am eyeing a Fosgate 800.2 for a replacement on...
Well ... negative one on the OD green amps... *sigh*... I was using a cross over that was given to me (knew better but used it anyways) and when I hooked the subs up today one of the amps went pop so I will be buying another one.... Thats what happens when ya try to save 50$... you end up...
Bjorn I wouldn't sweat those joints to much, the studs look good and tight is far better than loose.... Just keep an eye on them for the first month or so of driving.
If you do find that replacement is needed 99.999% of the time you can cross the size thread sizes via Napa's truck line or...
Ah.... I love it when things kinda move along!!!
I got the amps wired in today... I can not mount my subwoofers until I put my dash in (maybe tomorrow) but all of the mid and high range speakers are in (12 total)... I hooked my head unit up just to give it a test drive... All of that crammed...
There is a really good car audio site which covers most of the basics on audio install... It pays to read ALL of it if your considering putting anything into anything... http://www.bcae1.com/
Tell the bone head to check his gates catalog... and for an extra giggle ask if he has any of those peel and stick graphics that make the cars go faster... 100$ says he can find those no problem... *sigh*... what I would not give for the good old days of cranky guys than knew every car from...
Nope im not dead!! Just busy the past few weeks...
I am FINALLY getting to a close in wiring this pain in the arse up... Its looking like a NASA experiment gone horribly wrong but will clean up a good bit just before the dash gets back in place... AC ducts are in... Tons of cabling in the rear...
Ditto on the oil analysis... Napa sells them as Wix PN 4077 and the cost is 15-20$... Fill the sample and mail it out to the lab, check your results online in about a week.
Next time you have to drill your frame from the bottom grab a jack stand and a length of steel, 2x4, or what ever suits and leverage your drill on it like in the pic. It will save ya heaps of trouble and the added push makes the job go much faster.
Nice looking hitch though... Prolly one of...
2 PSI your splitting hairs... but Napa also has a 7 or 8 psi available too... I don't have my book in front of me but if I remember right you just lower the PN by one digit. 703-1421... have them check this before buying it though... the brain is not what it use to be but I know they carry it.
That is proably a myth in some places and a reality in others... Most commercial shops generate so much petroleum waste that they get it hauled for free by the companies whom recycle it for heating fuel...
Only requirement I've seen for free hauling is that you have at least a 200-300 gal pick...
Part of the deal with Hummers is the GM contracting... they didn't want their prized 150K civilian babies to be reduced to $2500 by surplus goverment sales... Now that the H1 is done with production maybe that will change over time.
