Interesting, didn't know they had any rubber isolation
Looks like the weight may be supported along the length of the frame as well not just those four points
To make diagnosing electrical issues much easier, I rotated some of the wiring TM pages and made them searchable for my specific GenIV trans/A1R combo.
If anyone wants the seat plate, I had mine made though oshcut.com for $156 shipped, 3/16 plate a36. Attached are the cad files. This works for the transit seats, but you could use the bolt hole locations for a different plate.
It does say the light is on, it has been power cycled since since clearing codes. I haven't had the chance to check those readings while driving.
I tried turning off the abs light in software but it stayed on.
Looks like the lamp is controlled by a relay and for that light to turn off it needs...
Finished the double seat. I cut a lot of the base bracket off to lower it as much as possible. It ties into the stock m8 holes and also the m6 holes used for the m16 mounts.I'm 6'4" and my head grazes the roof insulation(stock A1R insulation).
Also picked up some square steel tube to lift the...
Well can talk to abs ECU, but abs light stays on entire time of the drive. After I checked what the codes were....nothing active and nothing logged. Seems...strange. Places to look next?
They do not fold. I have no plans for a passthrough behind the seats so no folding needed. The width at the widest part of the cushions is 31". I couldn't ask for a better width. It sits right at the driver/passenger seats with no gap so I'm maximizing seat width for the kids.
Wasn't sure if my ABS was working so was going through and cleaning everything, messing around with computer settings . Software would return values like it was talking to the abs ECU, which caused me not to consider the simple solutions, one of the circuit breakers for ABS was pulled. Seems to...
It's a 20ft shipping container so pretty strong. We talked a bit about various options and for now we will all be in the cab. That may change in the future if we find out we want to spread out, but there is a lot involved in making them safe in the box with strong seating and restraints. One of...
Still having lots of issues talking to my ABS. Inspect of the module itself and there was a lot of corrosion on it cleaned all the pins up and retried but still didn't work.
Unplug the ABS entirely but still getting that j 1587 fault code. Also I'm showing a PGN 65226 from ECU, but connecting to...
Pulled seats and storage out of the cab, found out MWME put inch bolts in the seat locations...and punched through the cab metal from too long of a bolt in one spot. Hopefully the metric threads aren't messed up.
Power washed the interior, threw a fan in to dry it out.
Next step is installing...
The capacitors in the LBCD next to the spare tire holding some charge. There's a note in the manual somewhere that when you do kill power with that switch, go in to the cab and turn the ignition on to drain the capacitors
If only someone would help with the software for msd/ice...so far I've had no luck finding it. I do have the IETMs though but that doesn't allow use of the various testing hardware
