If you look up on the floor of the cab above the tranny, I believe that is the fifth gear lockup solenoid. I'm betting yours is defective and mine is. Two wires go to it.
I have the same problem on my 936A2 wrecker. 5th gear lockup doesn't work, I'm limited to about 52 MPH. I understand there is a 5th gear lockup solenoid up above the transmission, maybe that's our problem. It has two wires going to it, and it's a reach.
Yeah fits perfect on my m1009, my mechanic double checked, and I measured the same backspace as the rims that are on my 86. WVI-62-5806044 these are 4.25 inch backspace 15" rim, 8 inches wide.
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/WVI-62-5806044/applications I got sick of people trying to sell me used rims at $150 plus shipping as these 8 inch rims are hard to find. Summit has them brand new shipped to you at a little over $100. If you need NEW rims for your M1009 there you...
How do I set the idle higher on the NHC250? Starts right up, but releasing the throttle suddenly it will die, or driving forward or backward and stopping it will die.. I replaced the big canister filter recently but still have the issue. Any suggestions on a sight glass to install in the...
I guess I am getting confused . Whatever is and was in the original military tires on an M35A3. Don't run flats act as a beadlock also? Sure seems like it when I Installed a new oring in one of them.
What if soldier B has a jacked up back too? :) Thanks, I'll have to study the process again on video. The pulling out part looks fairly easy. Chain tire to tree, chain to runflat, use vehicle to pull run flat out. It's the other part with trying to get it into a new tire that scares me. I once...
Never mind, stumbled onto the part number on the TN site, found a brand new one on ebay. Crazy prices though. $50 for the mechanical pump. Part number is 11640665 if anyone ever has one break.
I've looked through the parts TM's and i cannot find the washer sprayer assembly that bolts on under the dash to activate the sprayer. I replaced the wipers and then try to test them and the plastic assembly broke apart or it might have previously and I thought I was out of washer fluid. Fix...
Haven't tried or heard of it till now, it was a tough cookie by myself. Thanks! I actually have to change out one shortly so I'll give it try when I do.
I had my M936A2 wrecker towed commerically from Camp Ripley, One of the rear most wheels did not have the lug nuts in the recesses of the rim. I'm surprised it stayed on for the tow, let alone while the NG was using it.
Thanks guys, amazingly I actually had the part on hand in the top of my pile of stuff! Talk about serendipity! Couldn't even see the part number on the bag it was so faded, but it looked the same, all fixed works properly now.
