I didnt buy the kit. I judt cut back the inner flange that surrounds the filter. If you look up inside the air box you will see there is a shield surrounding the air filter and blocking the direct air flow path of your snorkel i cut that shield back anf noticed better response. So i wouldnt...
Overseas my favorite in cab sleeping position in one of the old civi cab overs with no sleepers was to put a water bottle on the steering wheel center (pulled the horn fuse) standing up right and then rest my head right down on the bottle cap. I caught many a cat nap over there like that. Ive...
I will give you $220 and swing by and grab it on my next trip to grand rapids mi. I will even include a hug if you want. Im big and hairy so its like hugging a great big smelly teddy bear.
Hey Wes. Check out WolverineTech. Ive had great luck with his unit 160 amp i think. Keeps my 8d batts full and strong. Though i dont run the miles you do. Our truck spends hours on end at idle in parades running tons of 24 volt 12 volt and sometimes 120ac accessories for some parades in the...
I draw off a single battery for 12 volt also. Like the ac blower on the tmg kit is a 12 volt unit. We are now just installing a large junction box under the seat to run all the 12 volt stuff the owner uses. Like stereo, phine chargers, bluetooth for phone, cb radio.
Rattle can will fix the color easy enough. So if read this correctly $1495 is for a dual voltage alt kit ready to go with belts and mounting? $495 is for a straight 24 volt but its only 70 amp?
Pretend im a small stupid child that knows nothing about this stuff (not far from the truth btw)...
Im seeing a lot of gum smacking here but still no pricing... it's interesting looking but my 5tons dont see anywhere newr 187 under hood temps. Even pulling on a hot summer day in the flint hills 150 is the hottest ive ever seen. I dont run inner fenders either so perhaps that makes me cooler...
We used pledge and armoroall what ever we had kind of deal. And when you go to paint it will have worked its way into the pors but sanding, degreasing, sanding degreasing and it will come out. A good high bond sealer will help also before painting to help with bleeding and seperating.
Interesting... has anyone ever heard them called mtvr1 and mtvr2? Buddy who is a marine claims there are 1s and 2s but he wasnt sure what the difference is
Very nice swamp!!!
Whos gonna go measure an mtvr chassis at the suspension mounts? Perhaps the caimen axles with the tac4 kit still attached that are for sale all over would adapt?
Mtvr 4x4 are pretty sharp too. Or the 8x8 pls. Or the wrecker or the tractor. You know what. How about just any of them. I never was lucky enough to drive one in the middle east, but man they were some fast trucks when we did travel with them. Some were c9 and some were c12 im pretty sure.
Wonder how many of these were made and if any made the private side? Perhaps Tac4 can be adapted to 939 trucks...
i did a search and didnt see this on here yet.
I knkw these were test beds for the mtvr program before they found out they needed a clean sheet redesign.
Would love to know...
