Dave is correct, we have the LVS sliding roof over the passenger seat and the ring mount. I much prefer the sliding roof to the simple HEMTT plug, with the army unit there was no good place to secure the plug once removed.
Here is my preferred methods of pulling a HEMAT: behind my F450 and HEMTT. If you know how very large a HEMTT is, you'll notice the HEMAT isn't any normal sized trailer.
Oh, don't get me wrong, you could reinforce them to make them hold the weight of the water, they would just get VERY heavy and perhaps loose their ability to fold down in two sections. I'd think a one or two 3-4" c-channel along the entire side of the sides, in effect making it one continuous...
I had those thoughts but although it would handle a LOT of water weight wise, the side doors are not structual components. Water more than a few inches deep would probably render them bent beyond easy repair. Saying that, I love the trailer, I plan on getting rid of the crappy wood floor (not...
There is one up for auction on that site that allows just about anything but guns. $2500 OBO as I recall and it's in Tennessee. The one here on SS seems to be gone, he wanted $5900 . . . I think. How will you get a Jeep into a HEMAT? You aren't gonna like ramps over the back, it is REALLY...
As you can see from my signature I have both a HEMTT and a M989A1 HEMAT trailer. They are huge, I have a 29' deck on my gooseneck trailer and it takes nearly the whole darn thing. My 15,000 lb Warn winch really works hard to pull it up the dovetail. I don't think I'd want to pull a loaded...
NICE, Dave! Did you see the one on GL that ended today, not too tidy but a good place to start. No it wasn't me, even if it was real close to home. My wife and I would be fighting over the M977...
First of all a centrifugal supercharger builds its boost at higher rpm's, not at all linear boost delivery. 4 lbs of boost at 1100 rpm would give you about 16 @ 2200. This is where a turbo works well on a Diesel, you can get boost down low near the torque peak of the engine around 1400 rpm...
Naw, I still have 2 cars worth of a 4 car garage to remove and then my yard has a date with many truckloads of crushed gravel. There are only 2 more toys allowed at our house: an Austin Champ and/or a Kettenkrad. I still have one Stalwart left inside the garage, it has the best engine and the...
You realize that ATF IS around a 10 wt oil . . .
So use the 10wt oil that transmission maker recommends whatever that is. I spoke to an Allison rebuilder and dealer about the 6 speed Allison in my 1969 Ford M656. I asked if they recomended a switch from 30 wt motor oil to Dextron or some...
