    M880 project update / Tailgating

Perhaps they only used the stamped Dodge emblem tailgates until they ran out of their old stock? To be honest, until I saw yours, I thought all the M880's had the stamped emblem tailgates. And I'm pretty sure they aren't seen on the Civilian Dodges in the latter years of the `70's (now watch...

    M880 project update / Tailgating

Slick looking tailgate there Bob!! makes one tempted for a moment to consider leaving the truck in the red paint. I would like to note that although this is the correct tailgate for a civy Dodge pickup from the late `70's, it is however incorrect for the M880. Dodge decided to bring back the...

    M880 questions

I don't think the Alfaheaven M880's are running the humvee tires on humvee wheels. It looks as though they are running the stock M880 16.5" wheels. These wheels are only 6.75" wide and are way too narrow for these tires, espescially since they are bias ply tires. There are people who have...

    new paint job

Looking very good there. I'm glad it turned out well for you. So is this the Sherwin Williams water based paint you were talking about?

New memeber and a pic of my M880

Like id34 said, be sure and get the brackets for mounting the pump to the block. The pedestal that hold the gear box can be reused, but it still may be nice to get that one too.

New memeber and a pic of my M880

Welcome to the forum Ross. I like your M880, especially the original paint. Looks good. As far as the power steering swap goes, I did it myself a few years ago. You can take the steering gear box and pump off of any 1/2 ton (W100) or 3/4 ton (W200) forur wheel drive Dodge truck from the...

    McGuyver's M880

Thanks guys! I appreciate the comments. The jury is still out on how well I like these tire though. It seems as though they to wander all over the road and they act like square tires (real lumpy ride) until they warm up. Both characteristics of large bias ply tires. Apparently bias ply...

    McGuyver's M880

the four colors for the MERDC four color "Winter, U.S. and Europe-Verdant" pattern are: 34079 (forest green) 45% 30118 (field drab) 45% 30277 (sand) 5% 37038 (black) 5% or 37030 (black) 5% I got all these colors from RAPCO parts company in spray cans. However I did NOT like how dark the...

    440 short block

Here's more info than you probably want or even need about the mopar line of small and big block engines: http://www.tommythekrycho.com/mighty1.htm Here's a discussion group I found discussing the 413 and 440 found in motor homes...

    M880 MERDC pattern teaser

here's part of it. Sorry, I've only got one page so far: P.S. These are shrunk down versions of the larger original I've been working off of. The TIF files are about 800KB each page. when I'm completely finished "cleaning up" these files, I can upload them to the forum. As I stated, the...

    440 short block

If the price is right, then sure I'd go for it. BTW, I don't think that engine displacement is correct. It sounds like either a 413 or a 440 coming out of a motor home. This page talks a little bit about the 413/426 Heavy Duty RB Truck Block: http://www.440source.com/blocks.htm

    McGuyver's M880

Thanks for the compliment Kenneth. Sadly, the truck is not as "clean" as the pictures make it out to be. There is rust breaking through over the rear wheel wells (more so on the driver side), and on the lower rear corners of the front fenders. I plan on replacing the fenders eventually, but...

    McGuyver's M880

Her's some other pics I took that I like better(Field drab looks closer to the true brown that it really is, not orange like in some of the other pics): P.S. I posted a small JPG copy of the MERDC pattern over on the M880 forum if anyone is interested. I've got a full sized TIF format version...
