Thanks guys, but I am still a bit confused. Acording to the TM10-5411-205-13, the M1028 requires dunnage as described in TM 9-2320-289 which is the CUCV set of TM's. I've looked in those and haven't found any description of dunnage for the M1028 and S-250. I know I can improvise but
I was...
Would you please post the TM# and page for the cribbing for the CUCV. The reason I ask is because I have searched thru all the cucv tm's I have and did not find any info on cribbing
Thanks,
Bruce
I couldn't tell from the pic, but the first one looks like the side is a seperate piece.
The reason I notice this is because I have an s280 where the side is made from two
panels that are hinged to fold down and form a floor.
Bruce
I also have an M720 and hope to do the same eventually.
How do you expect to get it licensed? I would be very interested
in the details of the conversion.
Thank you very much!
Bruce
Well that is a relief, I was beginning to doubt myself.
That is terrific that you got it figured out. It is nothing
to do with old age. It is our duty as adults to keep the younger
whipper snappers guessing.

I am making the assumption that you hav tested the starting relay
coil and contacts.
The above does not completely eliminate the suspect wiring but I didn't want
you to have to cut the ppl/wht wire, just splice onto it. In the unlikely event
there is a possibility that the circuit has a ground...
If you are getting an open between the point where the yellow wire attaches to the starter switch
and the ppl/white wire where it attaches to the starter coil, You can unplug the starter relay to make that measurement, then ,
after pluging the relay back in, temporarily splice a wire onto the...
I figure the answer is no, but I have to ask. Is it possible to
get a Multi Fuel or diesel engine set up so that it will run on propane or natural gas?
Bruce
The brackets in the classified are for the M884, not the M1028.
You need 2 brackets that bolt into the bed to reinforce the ends
of the sides, and one long channel with U bolts on the ends that
goes across the top edge of the forward end of the bed.
Bruce
To be honest, I did search, but after going thru about 50 threads, I didn't find what
I was looking for. I then started just going back thru the 5 ton threads to about page 25
with no luck. I Try not to be a PITA, but I guess I didn't suceed this time. Sorry for
the hassle.
Bruce
My 6TL's need replacing. Can anyone reccomend a really
good commercial battery that will fit and wont cost an arm and a leg.
Thanks for any tips!
Bruce
I am noty sure, but I think the source comes from the ignition switch. My guess is that the
water in fuel solenoid and the glow plug module act in some way to inhibit the signal by
breaking or inserting ground. I hope I have been at least a little help in this.
Bruce
If you look at the legos connector, you will see a mirror image of it just to the left.
The wire then goes to a two pin connector with a diode plugged into it which id probably
on the firewall in the engine compartment. Then it goes to the "water in fuel solenoid"
in the fuel filter block. It is...
I am also looking for NSN's or part numbers for a 1 1/8" pin that
is for the ends of another tow bar. The working length is 3.6".
ie the portion that goes thru the towbar end but does not include the length
of the head or the portion that sticks out the other end and has a hole in it .
Thanks,
I...
