I am interested in the details of how you fabed the hinges for the drop side.
I want to convert one side to a drop side. I have the drop side panel but I need to fab the hinges that attach to the bed.
Thanks for any tips,
Bruce
In reference to leg room, I am 6' 1 1/2" and when I went to pick up my M54A2
in Seattle,WA I had a **** of a time. This is with the Air Ride seats. I was able to
help the problem out a bunch by pulling the steering wheel up more. The trick is
to remove the little cowl on the steering shaft...
Thanks for the clarification! For a minute there I thought I had done some real no no.
As they say "no good deed goes unpunished"

PS: somehow some links were inserted into the end of my original post by accident. I edited them out of my post, but they are still in your reply that quoted...
Ok, I'll bite. Why? I believe this guy is on the level. Is there some restriction
on his selling parts back to the US? This was my idea to pass on the info, not his,
so I appologize if this was not the right thing to do.

See my post in the 5 ton forum re M54A2 shear pins.
A surplus dealer in germany has come into some helicopter parts

I believe that I have verified that the shear pins available from a surplus vendor in
Germany are the genuine article. He sent me a bunch before he took payment,
and they seem to match the specification in terms of measurements. They are
well made with no flaws at all. He...
You can pull the steering wheel out further but you need to remove/modify the little
cover on the column that is used for the horn wire. I don't remember the details, but it was pretty obvious once you raise the hood and take a look. I had the same problem, I'm not that overweight
but I am 6'2"...
Thanks, Yes it would fit ok and only stick out 4 feet. I would probably have to relocate the spare though. Did you make ramps or buy them or used a different method of loading?
Bruce
Man, that sucker is big! But then you have marines to dig the smaller trenches.
That is one outstanding gift to the Museum! Thanks from an old Marine.

I don't know anything about these specific batteries, but if the batteries produce hydrogen, than you need to be aware of that if you keep it in the cab. I am sure others more knowledgeable can comment on this. Don't let hydrogen build up in the cab.

If you can't find a rebuild kit, check with Alfa Heaven Inc. Home Page
I bought one from them several years ago and it worked out fine
with a little tlc.
Bruce
PS: Capsarme: I would be interested in a rebuild kit as well if you find any. Just PM me.
