I worked on a Sea Train ship with heavy lift cranes that brought back tanks from Da Nang
that were battle damaged and off loaded in Manila. I am assuming for repair.

Hey, sorry about that, I thought you were just kidding around. I don't know a whole lot of people
who have unmodified trucks. I hope you are coming to TP. Look for an old geezer in a M1008
that doesn't walk so good anymore. I'll probably be there Thur,Fri, Sat and leave Sun morning.
And yes...
Thanks guys!
Popacom: Would you happen to have a picture of the bracket that this puppy slides into?
The rubber feet like mounts were pretty much history, but for now I substituted some little
rubber feet I had from a piece of computer equipment, so all I need to do is make some kind of...
I just bought a nice old dome light off of ebay. I am posting the ebay reference, since I don't have photos yet. When I get them I will update this thread.
Does anyone recognize this item? Any idea of which truck this was used in.
Could someone please see if the part number shows up in your M35...
Remove the starter circuit relay from under the dash.
Remove the cover.
Drill a hole in the top of the cover.
Install a small toggle switch.I believe you can use a momentary contact push button, this way you need to push the button when you try to crank it. once it starts I believe this relay is...
This sounds like a good idea. are you still going to set up a fill access, or are you just going to
fill the left tank, then transfer to the right tank and then refill the left tank?
Bruce
Ok, Doghead had the answer to my post. I thought it was clear, but I guess I wasn't.
I bought a set of the new LED tail lights to go on my M720 dolly set so that I can pull it without
having to change bulbs when I pull it from the M1008 or the M54A2.
If it doesn't work off the bat, I'll try...
OK, it seems I missed the boat here. I take it that these new tail light assemblies will not work with either the flasher in my M1008 or my M54A2, right?
So I need to replace my flasher in my M54A2 with No Load Flasher, NSN# 5945-01-584-979.
Any idea if I have to replace the flasher in the...
In this particular situation where it appears that the trailer isn't that heavy it
is probably ok to use the brake light wire as a signal to the electric brakes,
but in the case of a heavy trailer you would be better off using the tie in to the
hydraulic system. Talk to the folks at Brake Smart...
So maybe someone can help the VFW out and scrounge up some tires and get the gun back where it is supposed to be. If you do this, be sure to notify the gov first that you are planning on doing this with signed authorization from the VFW, and get their approval first.
Just a suggestion.
Bruce
All the top bracket does is keep the shelter from bouncing off of the bottom bracket.
There will be a structural element in the corner, but I can't tell if the rivets connect with it.
Remember that the M720 is only rated for 15 mph cross country & 50 on the highway.
Bruce
rlwm211, I was looking in the shelter repair TM and it didn't look like the S280 was equiped with the hookup for the dolly set.
Are you sure you have an S280? The picture in the TM show the S280 as having rounded corners
on the bottom of the shelter. Maybe they added the connecton hardware later...
