It is hard for me to say what you will encounter on your trips.
Depending on your budget super singles are always nice.
but if you can afford them or you just want to stay with the duals get different tires then the non directional ones. They are not very good in mud, snow, ice or anything...
a while back you said you saw some tow bars??
I am looking for a part of a towbar the one that fits inside (the male end). Let me know if you see one there.
I don't know how your state works for titling, but you might be able to get classic or collector or antique plates. If you do go this route the tags and the insurence should be cheaper. Keep in mind there are restrictions. You can't really use them as a truck for hauling or commercial ventures...
gl is government liquidation. it is an online auction. If you buy from there you don't know if it works or not. there are no guarentees.
your best bet is to take it to an alternator/ starter shop and have them repair it. it will cost around $200.
If you had some sort of group buys wouldn't that raise the prices at the auctions? I would bet a few people here would be up for a $500 part, but not 20 $500 parts. It would bring more people to the table, instead of having the dealers buy them all up. I know I can't afford $10,000 plus 10%...
the master cly is under the drivers side cab. there is a plate tht lifts up to get to it. You will probably need silicon brake fluid. it is different then the dot 3 stuff you get at most stores they are not compatiable. there are manuals of the truck under the resource section.
I was wrong in the post above. I thought youwere talking about a M1009 the blazer those are around 5200lbs. I am not sure on an M1008 that is 5/4 ton truck.
