    Spewing trans fluid

Mine only does that when I buy that generic-brand trans fluid. I bought the expensive stuff one time, one time! and now it will spit anything else out! Who knew a CUCV could be so picky? or maybe it's just spoiled...

    Fuel leak

Yes, there is a drain from the intake valley into the bell housing, and out the weep hole at the bottom of the bell housing. The valley may appear dry, but there is still a leak. Perhaps when the vehicle is moving, the air flow, etc, allows the leaked fuel to reach the drain before it...

    Fuel leak

Yes. The throttle shaft seals are a common leak point, along with old fuel lines. Try placing a rag under the IP and take it out for a drive, then check the rag for fuel.

long wait time and multiple cycles before start

Bad GP relay not passing voltage / current to the glow plugs? The contacts can get carboned up.

Leak testing newly installed IP without manifold installed?

Fire it up without the manifold installed.

    M-1009 Jack Hold Downs

Most of the hold-downs came with my truck - I think one is missing behind the spare tire. What didn't come with the truck is any of the things they are supposed to be holding down! From what I've seen when looking on ebay, those hold-downs must be made of titanium or something.

Ok guys need some help with the cucv

That is rough on just about any engine. Try taking it out for a nice highway cruise. Let it get good and warm all over. I'd suggest one of the additives to clean the injectors, but that is a whole 'nother thread covered many times.

    Temp Gauge Issue

My guess would be heat soak. When the engine is running, the coolant is circulating, fan is blowing, thus regulating the temps. Once the engine is shutdown, there is no, or little, flow of coolant, so temps over various parts of the engine will equalize a bit before they really start to cool.

Electrical Gremlins- Won't shut down + Slow crank

It looks like someone has already done the "12v bypass" for the Glow Plug relay power supply. This is an often recommended mod, so I think you are good there. You'll still need to get out there and measure the voltages on either side of the relay's big terminals. It is not uncommon for the relay...

anyone recommend a good ham radio-only forum out there?

Sorry, am new to the Ham scene myself... I do go into the forums here though... http://www.radioreference.com/ By the way, I presume you are aware that anyone can look up a call sign on the FCC site and get the name and registered address of the call sign holder?

    Reverse Lights Stay On

Other than a bad reverse light switch, no. Unless there is a short somewhere. I don't think I've ever heard of the reverse lights coming on due to a bad ground, as can cause weird things to happen with the running lights and turn signals. I'd try unplugging the reverse light switch. I don't...

    My first CUCV M1028A1

Under the air cleaner / intake, under the IP where the lines for the injectors are. The fuel drips down into that intake valley and then runs either forward or backward depending on how the truck is parked.

    My first CUCV M1028A1

One point on the oil leak... sometimes there is no oil leak, but instead a fuel leak from the area of the IP. Fuel line, loose injector fitting, or more commonly, leaking throttle shaft seals. The fuel can then run down the front of the engine, washing old oil and grease down to drip on the...

    Giving up on M135.........

Who rebuilt the booster? Did they offer a warranty on their work? Can they bench test it? At the very least, I'd expect any decent shop to work with you on it. As you say, it sounds like you have covered all the bases. Good luck!
