Well, I haven't seen them anywhere else, just the brush guard that is, without buying the whole antenna mount kit, which I don't need.
Dylan Coleman was very helpful in answering my questions and searching for them, so I'm pleased with how things went.
So, you get a big thank you anyway!
Dear Buddha,
I'd like a pony and a plastic rocket...
Sorry... too many things I'd like to ask for, like a set of bridge plate numbers, but I'm sure it would not be worth the cost of shipping. One of these days I'll get around to the yards in my area..
Please post pics!
Just as a quick follow up on this, I finally got off my butt and sent Coleman's an e-mail to see if they still had the CUCV Antenna Brush Guards. They had no idea what I was talking about, and said that they had gotten rid of a lot of stuff.
Thanks to the picture from maddawg308, they were able...
Just came across this thread, and it sounds like fun! Are there likely to be M1009 parts there? I saw what looked like some tools for the pioneer rack in one of the pics, and am looking for some of those as well.
For what it is worth, Wednesdays and Thursdays are generally best for me.
Ok, as I erred in my previous post to this thread, and have been appropriately spanked, let me try again:
The Los Angeles area CL shows M101A2 prices ranging from $1495 to $2200.
Way too rich for my blood! I'll keep looking to GL for the time being.
Odd, I don't see any links in that post, even on the words mentioned above. Have you run any adware or spyware scanners? I like Spybot Search and Destroy. Its possible something got into your browser.
I picked up my M1009 at Nellis last November. The tank was pretty much empty when I drove it off the base. Filled it up down the street and hit the freeway back to Los Angeles. Stopped in Barstow for food, and topped up while there. I doubt it was down even a quarter of a tank at that point. By...
Just a thought... what was the last work done on the truck? Has the GP relay been replaced? If so, was it verified to have an isolated ground? If not, that has been known to burn up GP controllers and harm the charging system.
For your shifting problem, you should first check all the vacuum lines, as they tend to rot and then the transmission won't get the proper vacuum signal for the **** points!
Can you hear the GP relay cycling? Is the GP relay the original one? Perhaps the internal contacts of the GP relay are carboned up, and the 12v supply is not enough to cut through it, where 24v will.
After doing the 12v bypass on mine, the GP relay would occasionally fail to pass the 12v to the...
That is some awesome work! Just because it is old, doesn't mean it isn't useful anymore. I can appreciate the logistics issues of supporting outdated hardware, but still...
Slave cables? I know what they go for on that evil auction site. Wonder what they go for when found in the dump?
Thank...
I'd love the harnesses that are bolted to the firewall under the hood, I think its the back of the fuse box. Mine show signs of having gotten hot at some point. Should probably get the fuse box as well, if it is good. Would also like a spare oil filler cap and fuel cap, unless these are easily...
Perhaps get a clean can of fuel and run a hose from it directly to the IP input. I've seen videos of SS members doing this when ground-hoping 6.2 / 6.5 engines they got from GL. This would eliminate the entire fuel system, minus the return line(s), from the equation.
