It's the AC condenser. I have a fan on it to keep a good amount of airflow through it. I had it mounted under the bed before. I chose to mount the hitch just in front of the rear spring hanger so I would have enough room to open the generator compartment at the front of the camper and not have...
I put my deuce under the knife this weekend. I pulled the bed and cut and welded some mounts for a 5th wheel hitch. The way I have it mounted I can put the bed back on right over the hitch. Next is getting power dropped to 12 volts for the camper battery charger, running lights and brake lights...
I've had my deuce for almost 10 years. Much of that time as my daily driver. As it is now. I've had to change 1 hydraulic head. 1 steering box. 2 clutches/ pressure plates. 2 sets of tires. 1 set of brake shoes on all 4 corners. 1 winch drive shaft. 1 transmission input bearing. 1 fuel pump. And...
I need help from y'all. My deuce is once again my daily driver and I'm tired of my wipers dancing all over the windshield as I drive. I want to convert to electric wipers. What is the best way to do this? And what is the cheap way that still works? I live in Florida now so functional wipers are...
I'm finally getting around to power steering on my Deuce. I made the reservoir out of .040 stainless steel and a few left over fittings. I TIG welded it all with stainless rod and in an argon chamber. It came out pretty well. Now to gather all the other parts.
My buddy called a local tow company, explained the situation. They guy said $150 just to try. He wasn't even sure he could get them out. I'm in the wrong business.
Looks good. Not to hijack your thread but I used a third row seat from a ford Aerostar. It was free from the junkyard. Went in really easy. much more comfortable than stock seats.
I pulled the axles, drained the diffs, and pulled the brakes apart today. Total damage done was 1 wheel had a little evidence of water in the bearing grease. All the drums had sand in them. So now it has clean 90wt in each axle. New bearing grease in each bearing. And all new seals at each...
So I use my truck as my daily driver and in the tree business. We have a field that we park the trucks in along with all the equipment. It's been raining a lot in Ga lately so the field was pretty wet. I needed the dup trailer the other day so I drove across the field to get it. No problem. 2...
Multi Fuel Winch Shaft Dimensions. Total Length 54 1/2 inches. Shaft Diameter 2 inches. At 46 1/2 inches the shaft necks down to 1 inch for clearance. The spline is a 15 spline with a double tooth to act as a key way. All measurements are taken from the center of the U-joint cap to the end of...
I am in a pickle. My winch is from a gasser deuce. My shaft is at high angle driveline to get remade. I need the total length. And the shaft diameter. I know it's smaller for the multi fuel than the gasser. Thanks.
For 6 years I knew I needed something. A decent cup holder. Most of us have the same problem. Well today I got around to fixing the problem. I used left over scrap steel 1 inch wide by 1/8 inch thick steel strap and some expanded steel from an earlier project. Total build time was a hour. My...
I am running a rear ARB in my bobbed Deuce. I love it. I did a whole write up on it when I installed it. It was pretty easy. Just do a search under my name to find the write up. Good Luck. You'll love the added traction. I use mine a couple times a month when I am pulling trees.
