Bringing the Deuce back to 100%

Here's todays projects. One I haven't finished yet but I'll get it installed tomorrow. I put on new ANCO wipers and built a box for my altimeter. I picked up a NOS mil-spec helo altimeter awhile back. I am finally getting around to mounting it. I made the box out of 2024 .032 T3 aluminum. With...

The Deuces first ride on the town

I drive mine as a daily driver. 50 miles each way. My poor Ford sits around and gets used as a people mover only. Congrats on getting out in yours. Keep it moving so more people will know we're out there and are mostly just normal people.

Good Luck with it. I am bringing mine back too. Enjoy the busted knuckles. They are a testament to everyone else that you are the one doing the work.

Bringing the Deuce back to 100%

So here are the pictures. Today I fixed the head lights. Before I had no brights. I put in some free used truck light LED lights. The drivers side doesn't work quite right but it's better than I had. The upper portion works when it's on low beam. But when switched to high beam it turns off. Oh...

Bringing the Deuce back to 100%

This evening I got around to a couple of the small things on the list. The drivers door hinges had a few busted screws and a couple loose ones. They are all new now and all of a sudden the door doesn't sag and it closes a lot easier. And I got around to fixing the passenger window. It used to...

Help with 10 Lug wheel conversion

The more I look into these wheels the harder it seems to be to get them to mount up to the Deuce. But man they look COOL. The funny part is I can get 4 more just like them but I need to wait to see if I can even use them.

Help with 10 Lug wheel conversion

These came off of the Artillery 5 ton. It is a 6x6 flat nosed missile launcher that the Marine Corps uses. I'm not sure what the Mil-Spec number is on them though. There's only a few on Pendleton.

Help with 10 Lug wheel conversion

I just picked up 4 new to me GoodYear MT/V 395 tires. Two of which are brand new. They came on 10 lug 11.5 inch pattern aluminum Bead Lock wheels. I am already running HMMT wheels though. Is there a ready made way that I can just order the parts and put them on these wheels to use them under my...

Bringing the Deuce back to 100%

The labor took about 2 hours. The parts I ordered from Boyce about a year ago. Just figured I'd rather have them on hand if I needed them. You'll have to call around for the prices. Sorry I can't remember.

Bringing the Deuce back to 100%

After picking my Deuce back up a week ago. I had a list of things that needed to get fixed. Coming home from work on Tuesday I got to add to that list. I got stuck in a bunch of traffic. Nothing like stop and go for 50 miles. Anyway by the time I got home the drivers front wheel was so hot you...

    Picking my Deuce up Again

It took 13 hours on the road and 80 gallons of waste trans fluid and really old gas blended to make it home. But she made it all the way with nary a hiccough. Now for the fun. The rear axle seals need to be replaced. And the trans is puking out the snout and leaking out the plug under the clutch...

Free Brown CARC in San Diego

I'd prefer to just have people pic it up here. If I still have it in a week or so then I'll consider shipping it to people. I don't get a lot of time off during the week so making it to a post office or even the UPS store is pretty difficult.
