Call Jesse at High Angle Driveline. He has made all of my Deuce shafts. Does a bang up job for cheap. Measure from flange mount to flange mount. That was all I've ever needed to do.
I'll be in Paradise in a couple weeks to look for a house. As for loading it in the back of your truck I loaded it with my cherry picker. And it comes in the barrels. I have a few extra of those too.
I wound up with a bunch of extra WMO in San Diego. Right around 200 Gallons. It's in 55 and 30 gallon drums. If you want it let me know and you can come and get it.
Thanks for the info. I am looking forward to the drive. My son and I are going to make it. We did it a couple years ago but we were in a rush then and did it in 48 hours. This time we're going to take our time.
I've got 12 months left as long as head quarters Marine Corps approves my retirement. I'm ready to move on to something else. My aircraft have been retired so I am obsolete. So I get to be the base Substance Abuse Officer until I retire. Nothing better than dealing with DUI's and Drug users. Oh...
I'm from just out side of Gainesville. I am retiring and headed home. And I can't wait for Krispy Kreme, Krystals, Sonnys BBQ, and NO TRAFFIC JAMS in San Diego.
I have been running UMO and U trans fluid for a couple years now with no problems. I filter it down to 3 microns and keep a spare set of filters in the truck too. The truck runs great on it.
I am headed to Fl using I-10 in June. I'll be leaving San Diego if any one needs anything moved across. Within reason. I will be driving my Deuce with my 79 Ford on the 34 ft trailer behind me. So I can haul some small stuff generator size or smaller. Just let me know.
I just went and picked up 280 gallons of free used motor oil from a local race car shop. I'm starting to collect it for my cross country drive in June with the Deuce. I figure from San Diego to Gainesville Fl will use a little under 400 gallons. I average 7.5 miles a gallon towing with the...
Thanks for the info. My parents and whole family live in and around High Springs and Lake City. My wife's family is in Gainesville. Now I have to start prepping 5 trucks, 1 Deuce, and two trailers "one of which is still mostly a pile of steel in the back yard" to move. Along with the house hold...
Does anyone live around Gainesville Fl. I am thinking about moving back there in 12 months when I retire. I am from High Springs and will be looking between there and Gainesville for a house. The fun part is going to be moving 4 trucks and my bobbed Deuce. Also is there any place left to wheel...
My aircraft is being retired and replaced by the MV22. I am currently stationed at MCAS Miramar and on Thursday Dec 1st we transition from HMM-163 to VMM-163. We are the last squadron of CH-46E's on Miramar. Also the slang for the Osprey is "PLOPTER" Each Marine aircraft has a slang name that we...
I have a gasser deuce sitting here that has a bunch of problems. But it has a good winch. Can I take the winch and more specifically the PTO off and put it on my Diesel Deuce. The Trans in the gasser is a non-overdrive unit. The one in the Diesel is an overdrive unit. Thanks for any info. Both...
I have comercial plates on my 1985 Deuce. When I registered her in Cali, San Diego at that I was told I had to get an emissions check. After going to three different places to get an emisions test finally one of the guys gave me a number to a moderator in the CARB resourses board. I told him...
