I Just got the box seperated and found one of the steering pucks broke off inside the box, along with needles and a nut - Kinda makes me wonder about it . I will try to post a few pic's - Anyone else had this kind of thing before ?
On that pic the center support in many cases would want to be higher - then possibly run a c/v after that carrier - By the Way This Is Jess Shannon's friend.
Years ago when I wanted to have split brakes on a hot rod so I could do burn outs. I took a master cylynder off of an old John Deere. It had split left and right brakes. I replumbed it for front and rear brakes. I welded a tab on the front of the left pedal. If I hit the right pedal it aplied...
I have a bobbed Deuce singled out with 395's. I play in the sand fairly regularly and have no problems other than going up the dunes. Going straight up a large sand dune isn't going to happen. You have to plan ahead and angle up. Yes I have burried mine and had to winch out. Not a big deal. Just...
Actually my MOS is for CH-46E airframes and hydraulics. But I have been around long enough that I have worked on the CH-53E for a few years too. Now I am the Airframes Division Chief so I have CH-46E's, CH-53E's, AH-1W's, UH-1N's, and AV8-B's that I am responsible for. I will be glad to be off...
I didn't do anything special with USAA. I didn't even have them as insurance at the time. The lady I talked to asked what it was I wanted to insure. I explained the deuce as bobbed and she said she would have to come and look at it. No Prob there. I am in San Diego so she drove over, took...
I have USAA and they came out and took pictures of my Deuce, understood it was modified and bobbed. Wrote my policy and now I pay 41 bucks every 6 months for my insurance.
The best part of the airshow is going to happen the day before visitors are allowed in. On the 29th my squadron is returning home from our deployment. We will be flying in formation and doing a "Hollywood' shut down. then all of us will file out of the back of the birds and formup. March forward...
Title it as a home built vehicle, I am originaly from Fl and it takes about an hour with FHP and DMV. They give you a VIN number and install it for you. I am now in Ca and have done the same thing there too. It's more expencive in Ca and you don't get a title that says its a HMMWV but you do get...
Have fun putting the Cummins in it. I put a Cummins and Allison in a freinds M998 for him. It was a PITA. But once it was in it looed good. You'll end up taking the body off a couple times before you get it all hooked up. But that 5.9 is like no other eng in the 998. Good luck.
I've had both motors in crew cab dually GMC's. I have towed the same trailer with both of them too. I prefer the 6.2 everywhere except the mountains. I am not a speed demon especially when I tow. The fuel miliage advantage of the 6.2 has me prepping one of my GMC's with a 454 in it now to swap...
Man I miss my truck. That one sure looks ready to go. Can you take a closer picture of the tool box under the bumper and give some info about it too. I like that there.
I am building a 31 ft flat bed with tandem Deuce axles, High Angle Driveline is building the shafts with an extreme angle double CV. I built the trailer in sections so that when I get home from this deployment I can weld the large sections together and then install the driveline. Once it is done...
