Any electricians out there?? 120/240 Circuits Question

Its very common in the southern states. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

Any electricians out there?? 120/240 Circuits Question

I have a distinct hatred for AFCI. They tend to be more of a nuisance than anything else. But ya gotta pass the inspection. Luckily my place was built in 71 so no AFCI. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

Any electricians out there?? 120/240 Circuits Question

Keep in mind these could be combination AFCI GFCI breakers. while GFCI is required in wet locations AFCI is required in bedrooms and some AHJs require them on every 120v circuit

    “Load and behold”

Honestly in your setup, all you can really do is ground the set. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

    “Load and behold”

Its basically a variable resistor. Just be careful and ground Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

MEP-005a single phase conversion gauge question

Current between l3 and l0. And current between l0 and l1. Since youre running 240 volt on the load bank very little (if any) current is actually going to chassis on l0 so yes they should match Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

MEP-005a single phase conversion gauge question

The positions do matter. If this was done exactly as I think it is L2 won't mean much to you L1 and L3 both represent the current usage and depending on how your balance one may be higher than the other Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

    Wire Source to 60A service?

I wouldnt expect anything but a few millivolts in that short of a run. There are some people out there that insist on running drop calculations and upsizing regardless of length. More power to them and enjoy spending more than you need to.

    Wire Source to 60A service?

Typically in runs that short voltage drop isnt big enough to worry about.

MEP-005a single phase conversion gauge question

That would do it, Gotta look at the label ring marked Amps. Id be lying if I said I never did that one myself.

MEP-005a single phase conversion gauge question

Without being at a set and looking, I believe one is set percent rated load and the other is selectable line amps.

MEP-005a single phase conversion gauge question

Did they work before the mod? The few I have done worked after.

mep 004a, make it precise with ADC100

I used an allen bradley SLC 5/04 plc. the servo was an ebay special. It takes some programming ability. with what I did any plc tat can take 4 to20 ma in and has 2 digital outputs would work.

mep 004a, make it precise with ADC100

I did this to a 004. Basically I have a hz to 4 to 20 converter feeding an analog input on a plc that is triggering 2 outputs to adjust a servo on the throttle. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

MEP-804B - New to me, I have a few questions

Typically an alternator output diode is there to prevent the battery from draining through the alternator windings.

    Mep-531a Hz too low

Most modern multimeters have a frequency setting. Meter the output for frequency. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

    First start of a MEP-002, do's and don'ts?

Get a good look at the motor mounts too. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

    First start of a MEP-002, do's and don'ts?

Biggest thing is never idle them, That is what kills the regulators

    Mep 002a battery charging

Start by checking the fuse. If you look in the tm theres a procedure to test the battery charging alternator Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

Making stationary engines more efficient when loads are reduced

You're welcome, Once they are setup its pretty much pushbutton start. To be fair the same thing can be done with a vfd, it just takes some more setup. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
