I can always tell when my compressor is pumping because of the slight knock it makes. Mine goes on and off frequently because my compressor is leaking (for now).
I believe the lug nuts take a 1 1/2" socket and the bolts in the rim take a 1 1/8" socket.
They are all very tight. On mine the nuts holding the rim together were real bears to break loose. I broke two 1/2" ratchets trying to get them loose. Finding a deep 1 1/8" 3/4" drive socket may be...
I removed mine the same way. It helps to have soldier b there to get it down and for reinstalling it.
I drilled out the holes in the plastic channel and sewed it back together by hand. I also did the rear window by hand. I do not recommend it though unless you are cheap and get bored.
That truck is a m939 series. I have about 5 different sets of TMs downloaded for mine, maybe more. Some are here on site, others you have to get elsewhere.
I replaced my blower motor. I wasn't sure if it worked when I bought the truck or not until I replaced it. It works great now so it was burnt up when I got the truck.
Ok, so I checked all connections and they seem to be good. I checked the battery cables and there are no bare wire spots to cause a short.
I disconnected the batteries and removed the alternator to clean all the connections. I broke the quick connect plug on the small wire going into the cover...
I will also add that my truck only has two batteries that were put in new by the previous owner.
The only thing electrical that I have done is replacing a few dash lights.
These things are minor but thought I should add as much detail as possible.
