I distinctly recall from my truck when I flipped the hubs less than a month ago, that the bearings themselves were the same width with the inner race being the key difference. One would slide further in, the other would not. the Bearings themselves seemed the same outside diameters.
Insofar as headsets for protection or communication, they're legal. Intercoms on bikes, fire trucks etc are all normal and expected. So's earplugs or similar for noise protection.
Stump remover is the thing. Drills some holes, pour it down into the stump let it sit for a week or two. Add some fuel and burn it out or let it rot out.
Looks good. I should have probably written something about dropping that spare tire carrier. I used a 3/4" combination wrench to hold the nuts while I spun out the bolts. It was tricky. I did pull the retaining bolts for the air tanks so I'd have some extra space for getting my fingers in. I put...
Re: RE: EQUIPMENT NOISE LEVELS
It was in the insulation area. Near the ladders, your own store's milage may vary. Foil with air filled space in between. Should help for noise and temperature. Heavier foam would probably be better for noise though. Hmm, Mcmaster Carr carries some big rolls of...
HEadphones for long drives. My muffler helps as well.
Lowes carries some rolls of sound/heat insulation in very nice compact rolls that aren't very large. I'm going to try adding some of those to the floor/back wall of the truck for additional insulation at least between frame rails of the...
RE: Re: RE: Singles complete on my Deuce.
Bloody heck, I'd love some British Combat rims for my deuce. Easier to break down with an impact gun and a lever. No fiddling with the rim and a damn bloody duck bill hammer. And you can add runflat inserts/beadlocks easily.
RE: Re: RE: Singles complete on my Deuce.
It'll do 61 according to the GPS but that's right at the edge of redline. I still need to get a ratio converter. I'm kind of curious if there's a different Winch/Speed/Gear data plate for the 1100s on the M35A2s.
I put the switches for my front floods on an angle bracket on the leftside of the dash right at the door under the dash. Easy to find at night. I also added another light just like it on the rear of the truck that way I can have a backup light that I activate manually at night for easy...
I'm starting to think that replacing those vents with tubes to the truck's vent system makes more sense. Both from a reliability stand point and from a better fording capability standpoint. I can't be certain if having them pressurized a few psi is a good idea or not though. I'm probably going...
Re: RE: tractors, tractors, and more tractors
My personal favorites are the Federal made COEs. The 5-6 ton 2DT and 4-5 ton 2DTs. I'd love the Corps of Engineer's truck.
Any idea if there's an easy way to calibrate the fuel gauges? (Bend the float arm?)
Also, the wiring isn't even done yet. I've got the ground lead roughly connected to the frame, but I need the 2 pin boot and need to run wires to the other side for the power for the pump and the gauge to the...
Ok, Pictures are up.

I think I'm going to install the selector switch in one of these holes in the dash. That'll activate the relay that'll throw the reed to run the other pump.
I have some dual voltage bulbs some are too small for dual voltage LED units (or I just haven't found them yet). It's on the marker lights that I have 24 volt filament bulbs installed.
It's the T10 series bulbs that I haven't found in LED form that'll fit in the Marker lights I have for the...
